The predator silently stalked through the underbrush closing in on her kill. The tall trees loomed over her, forest green scales, which provided her exelent camoflage. Her bright yellow eyes and slitted pupils focused hungrily on her prey. Though she feared nothing, the preditor used deadly caution as she aproached the strange creature before her.

its posture sugested that it was an alpha, powerful, and a good hunter. But it had no weapons, she mused to herself. why would this creature ever dare to come near her hunting spot? was it stupid? This hunting spot was hers only, and that all who entered would cease to exist. She ran her forked toungue over her incisors waiting, and examining the animal for weakness.

It had fur coming mostly from its head, it stood upright, and wore what looked like leaves and other animal fur. Disgusting she thought snorting slightly, what kind of animal would wear another animals skin? Surely it had skin of its own. It wreaked of smells mostly unknown to her. The only thing it had that looked slightly harmful ws a sharp rock tied to a long stick. This posed as a minimal threat to her for it could easily be knocked away.

She continued to cautiously stalk the ugly animal. Caution was always a good plan, as a newborn shed seen many things seemingly unharmful grow to three times its original size and attack, she knew because she was one of them. a master of illution and deseption but unable to know for sure how dangerous this thing was, she assumed it was quite intelegent just to be prepared. It was constantly studying its surroundings as if looking for something. A lost cub perhaps? maybe hunting?

She inched closer. A breeze stirred the leaves around her, and she caught the scent of another easier target for hunting. A scent she rcognized and would not need to be causious around. She ignored it and focused on the meal standing before her. The smell of its flesh and blood enticed her. Reflective saliva dripped from her deadly fangs as she closed in for an interesting kill.

In order to learn more about the animal she devised a plan to trap it. See what, if any other weapons or weaknesses it might have.

She began to circle. The odd smelling breath fron=m her lungs cling to the air. Her tail dragged along the forest floor. Transparent colours apearing when the sunset touched it. Once she had fully circled it, who was still oblivious to the danger, she gently clicked her jaw expertly as she had done many times before. A spark appeared in her mouth. Unfortunatly for her this cught the animals attention. Its eyes jumped from bush to tree to bush trying to find the cause of the odd sound and unnatural light.

She stood from her crouched pose to her full height, letting the animal know she was there. But  the animal did not run. its eyes widened but it stood as still as one of the trees. Yes she thought this animal is stupid. The thing before her was looking directly into her snake-like eyes. She smiled a wolfish smile letting all her dagger incisors show. She continued to click and sparks continued to light in her mouth. The creature still did not move just stood eyes wide and wached her perform her deadly magic.

Finally the spark caught. She exhaled hard directing her nose at the silvery saliva that had dripped from her toungue. The flame conected with the silvery liquid creeping like a cat along were she had circled. Not long after were the creature and her surrounded by a rising flame. One trapped, the other a little toasty. She backed out of the fire wall the flames licking at her scales. the flames appeared calmer were she stood as opposed to the rest of the growing circle, that snapped and tortured the surrounding plants. she dissapeared back into the trees just out of sight of the stunned animal.

There was a moment of pause, then the animal went crazy, running at the fire only to get burnt, then try again making odd screeching noises. The entertained predator wached intently. But once she got bored she slowly returned to the caged animalrunning franticlly around inside the ing of fire. She easily stepped back through the flaming wall that once separated them. they were both in the ring now. The fire seemed to applaud the faceoff with loud  cracks of burning ember slowly growing with the tention. She extended her wings her large wings and roared with a blood curtling tone. The strange animal wimpered and backed into flame only to yelp and jump forward again.

keeping her wings extended to apear larger she lowered her head to the height of the animal menacinly baring her spotted incisors, glistening in the sunset light. Her huge yellow eyes were focused intently on the animals frightened eyes. She took two large steps forward. Herding the animal so its back was to the fire. It was cornered.

She stood before it, the fire against it and her monsterous wings blocked it off from both sides. Her jaw dropped slightly, then with a strike like lightning her gigantic incisors ripped at its jugular and corotid artery. Blood spurted everywere. then slowly started to cease. Once fully stopped the loud hair raising sound of her easily snapping its neck echoed through the forest. She dropped herr kill, wrapped her taloned fingers around its oddly placed upper limbs. She flapped her wings, first to extinguish the already dieing fire, then again to lift off.

Casting a large shadow over wherever she flew, she soared away, back to her cave to savagely feast on the carcas. She would be out again to hunt, but for now the forest is as safe as it is going to get
