Rudy didn't have any work for Micky and the boys, but promised to let them know as soon as he heard something. So, for the next couple of days, the boys slowly got back into their normal routines, yet each evening having band practices. Every time the phone rang, one of the boys would rush over to answer it, all hoping it was Rudy with a job, yet sadly it wasn't!

The end of July brought on some nice weather, and the boys spent most of their days on the beach.

It was towards the end of July that the boys got a visitor. Mike was at home with Davy, while Peter and Micky went for a stroll on the beach. Micky found walking around the beach helped him find some good lyrics for songs, and Peter liked to go with him with his guitar and try out some music to go with the lyrics.

Mike was pottering around in the kitchen, when there was a knock on the front door. He turned to see if Davy would answer it, only to find that Davy had dozed off on the sofa!

Mike went to answer the door and was quite surprised at seeing Ashley standing there.

"Hello! Mike, isn't it?"

"Yes! Yes, hello!" Mike said. He stepped aside to let Ashley in. "Come in, this is a pleasant surprise! Davy! Davy, wake up! We have a visitor!"

Davy groaned and turned over on the sofa, still sleeping. Mike turned and asked Ashley to wait a moment.

Ashley watched as Mike walked over to the sleeping Davy, pick up a cushion, raise it then smacked Davy across the head with it. Davy gave a yelp and sat up with a shock! He glared at Mike, then went red when he saw Ashley standing near the spiral stairs, trying to hide back her laughter.

"You could have woken me in a nicer way!" Davy moaned at Mike.

Mike smiled and tossed the cushion at Davy. Ashley couldn't help chuckling. Davy jumped up and threw the cushion back at Mike, then turned and smiled at Ashley.

"What brings you here?"

"Oh, I was wondering in Micky was around?" Ashley asked.

Mike and Davy quickly passed a knowing look at each other.

"He's out on the beach," Mike said. "He shouldn't be too long, though if you don't mind waiting?"

Ashley looked down at her watch. She looked deep in thought for a few seconds, then shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm sure I could spare a few minutes!"

"Great!" Davy clapped his hands. "I notice by your accent you are British too, so how's about a cup of tea?"

"Would love one!" Ashley smiled!

"Mike!" Davy yelled towards the kitchen! "Get that kettle on, will you!"
