Walking along the beach, hand in hand,
our toes squishing in the sand.
Foamy water washing over our feet,
then sliding back in retreat.
The stars at night
are such a sight.
As we lay beneath the moon,
you cuddle me and I swoon.
You call me "dear"
as you tuck a daisy behind my ear.
You call me "love"
as you kiss me, a kiss sent from above.
All this happens beneath the summer sun
and I know what a prize I've won.
A summer filled with cooing doves
and undying love.
