As Dewdrop picked me up he murmed "You did this didn't you. By accident?" It toke me some time to think about it before I finnally anwered. "Yes, I did and by accident." I whimpered. "Well, let's hope he lives? Right?" muttered Dewdrop. "Yes, by Starclan, yes." I responed. We stayed silent intill we reached the medince cat clearing. "Lionblaze, Bramblestar, put Nightkit on this pile of moss." said Leafpool pointing to the moss nest. "Featherkit, wait right here intill I am done with Nightkit." meowed Leafpool. Dewdrop put me to the side and sat with me. "So," he began, "do you want to be a warrior or medince cat apprentice?" "I want to know how to heal cats but I would rather be a warrior." I squeaked. "Well, who do you want your mentor to be?" asked Dewdrop. "Out of all the cats I know, you." I purred leaning against him. "I'm glad." Dewdrop purred letting me lean against him. "Do you think Nightkit will be okay after the way I ripped up his back by accident?" I asked a few heart beats later. "Featherkit, you can over now." called Leafpool after finnishing putting white and green stuff on his back. "Jayfeather, you have guests that won't leave." called Leafpool. "But you didn't even told us to leave and why does Featherkit get to stay but I dont? I'm his mother!" protested Squirrelflight almost wailing. "Well, my son hasn't been able to kick cats out and Featherkit won't leave, as you can see." purred Leafpool with a smirk on her face. "Yes, Squirrelflight we have to leave or that blind mouse-brain will chase us out." gently meowed Bramblestar with amusement and worriness mixed in his eyes.
"Well, see ya later, Featherkit." called Dewdrop as he and Lionblaze stalked out the medince clearing. "Squirrelflight, Bramblestar I can smell that you're still here." called the blind gray tom as he pushed his way out of his and Leafpool's den. "I won't leave!" Squirrelflight growled feircely. "Oh, yes you will." said Jayfeather in a sing-songy voice pushing the ginger she-cat out of the clearing with Bramblestar following.* Sorry for the inturnreption, but I was laughing when I read that last part. Weren't you? Comment if you did!*
"Featherkit, are you going to be a warrior or a medince cat apprentice?" rasped Nightkit. "A warrior apprentice and I'm going to see if Dewdrop could be my mentor. What are you going to be?" I responded. "Nice. A warrior apprentice." coughed Nightkit. "Who do you want your mentor to be?" I asked. "Lilyheart." We were quiet for a few mousebeats. "Well, you should be getting some sleep so you heal up before your apprentice cermony." I meowed lying down next to him. As we both fell asleep, Nightkit meowed "We are going to be apprentices at the same time. We are always going to be best friends, right?" "Always." I reasured him as we both closed our eyes.
