He tightened his grip around her waist protectively, blood covered hand shaking as he pushed her hair from her face, checking her pulse and trying to keep her conscious, "Kanaya keep your eyes open, talk to me, what's happening, you have to stay awake," his words words being murmured so quickly they began to blend together in an almost incoherent muttering.
Eyelids fluttering the paling girl coughed harshly, the boy cringed seeing the pain on her face, spits of jade blood speckled across their skin began to dry.
"Karkat I Need You To Hold Trust In What I Tell You And Trust In What I Do," Kanaya's commonly opulent tone now drowned with fear.
The boy could only nod and grip her hand unaware of what his friend meant and too shaken to delve any further.
In her weak state she was barely able to lift his wrist to her mouth. Karkat did not protest as she pressed her lips to his exposed skin even shivering with a (slight) moan which was interrupted by a sharp pain coursing through his arm as her sharp teeth punctured his flesh.
His body went limp and world turned black.
