The boy with the green eyes caught my hand before I tried to run away. " Wait, you can't just run away, where are you going to go?" he asked with worry in his voice. " Anywhere but here" I replied. I had no idea where I was going to go. I mean I had no family... And I had no idea where I was. I still felt sick to the stomach and I had cuts and bruises all over my body. Just the thought of what would happen once I got home was unbearable to think of. The aching in my heart has still not gone away.

I look over to where I see my parents and sisters bodies lay... But where's Cam. Oh my gosh. Where is he? I quickly scan my gaze back and forth across the wreckage. "Where is he?" I quickly murmur. My heart was beating uncontrollably. I couldn't bear to see his limp body like the other four of my family. I was hyperventilating now. Cam was like my best friend. He was always by my side and I always counted on him. I heard footsteps behind me. " What are you doing, its dangerous here" Green eyes said. " Back off" I said with a harsh growl. What does he want, can't he see I'm practically falling apart here? "Whoa, I'm just thinking of your god damn safety" he replied with, wait was that annoyance? Oh hell no. He had better not be messing with me. I turn back to face him. "You don't know what I'm dealing with right now!" I scream at him.

I collapse down onto the fire singed grass and wrap my arms around my body. The boy came up to me and squatted down to my eye level. " Hey, I know what you're going through, and I think I can help you" he said with genuine care in his voice. He extended his hand out to me. When I reached out to hold his hand he lifted me up with impressive strength. "Come on, we need to leave now" he said hurriedly. Green eyes lead me over to the spot where he found me unconscious minutes before. "Come on, I know where to take you" he said. He started to walk over to where the forest deepens. I should probably follow him, where else will I go? We started making our way through the forest when I remembered something, my mothers sapphire ring. I ran back to where my deceased family was and took the ring off ever so slightly from my mothers hand.

The tears came back heavier, I couldn't just leave my family here for the animals and God knows what else. "Wait!" I called out. I looked back in the direction of where the boy was, but he was already behind me. "Don't worry, they will be taken away with care" he said. How did he know I was thinking that , I wondered. I took one last look at my family. I couldn't believe, just this morning we were the happiest family on earth and now... I sighed and another tear rolled down my cheek" Hey chin up, I'll make sure that they are cared for" Green eyes said with a sad smile. With that he helped me up from the ground and he held my hand till we were making our way through the forest.

"By the way, my names Hunter" he said.
