It's my sixth day in Castle Rock and I still have no friends. Wonderful. Plus school starts in a couple of weeks. If I don't make some friends fast, I'll be miserable at school.
"Erin, honey! Come down here please!" Yelled my mother from downstairs. I sat up on my bed. "I'm coming."
When I got downstairs, my mom was sitting at the dinner table with a glass of tea. When my mom sits me down at the table, you know she means business.
"Listen Erin, you can't just sit in your room all day up until school starts." She said with a hint of concern in her voice. "I know mom. But I don't know how else to make friends other than through school. What am I supposed to do? Put out posters in the town? "Friends wanted! Erin is lonely! Call 1-800-imaloser." I raised my voice a little when I got sarcastic. "Why don't you go find some shops and see if there's anyone there that's your age to talk to." "Fine. I will. Thanks mom."I ran upstairs and threw on a pretty blouse and some shorts. Then, I applied a light layer of mascara and some winged eyeliner. I pulled my long blonde hair into a ponytail and left.
"Where am I even going? I don't know my way around this town!" I mumbled to myself. I walked for a few blocks until I found a little candy store. You're never to old to pop into the candy shop every now and then. Maybe I'll find someone in here.
The shop smelled like heaven. Shit, I'm broke. And I'm really hungry to make matters worse. I walked through a few aisles before accidentally bumping into someone pretty hard. "What the hell man, watch where you're going!" A young man hollered. I turned around to see a gorgeous boy who looked about my age. He looked up at me, his blue eyes sparkling. We stared at each other, face to face for a second. "Sorry. I thought you were a dude haha." He blushed. "It's fine." I giggled. "Chris Chambers" he held out his hand and I shook it. "Erin Kyle"'I said before looking down at my feet. He stared at me for a minute. What do I say? "So, how old are you?" I managed. How old are you? Erin you dipshit! What kind of a question is that? "I'm fifteen, you?" (Let's just pretend they were that old in the movie) "I'm fifteen too. Sixteen in September." I said. He looked at me for a moment. "You wanna maybe, hang sometime?" He said, blushing a little. "Yeah! When?" "Uh, is tomorrow okay?" He asked. "Yeah totally!" Is this really happening? "I'll meet you here tomorrow at 2:00 okay Erin?" "Definitely." You couldn't wait to tell your mom about this.
