Echo was focused on the umbrella and hoped it would just fly over to her so she could use it to cover Ed, and Gerade seemed to notice so he kicked it over to her. Flinching Echo stopped and looked to Gerade for a long moment then grasped the umbrella only to feel that it was very warm, but it didn’t burn her.
“It seems you’ve been exposed too long.” Gerade smirked, “It doesn’t even burn you.”
“What do you mean?” Echo spoke after stabbing the umbrella into the wet soil so that it covered Classy, and stood up feeling her joints go stiff after being in one spot for awhile.
“I mean that you’ve been hanging around our kind for too long, and that my way doesn’t affect you anymore” Gerade rolled his eyes, “That umbrella, supposedly, was supposed to burn that human hand of yours.”
“But it didn’t.”
“Exactly.”
“Does that mean I’m turning into a demon!?” Echo panicked but saw him roll his eyes once more as if making fun of her.
“Maybe, but it’s highly unlikely.” Gerade spoke with a drawled tone then blinked noticing Ed shift from where he laid and his scream run through Echo’s ears, “But even if the rain doesn’t effect me, it sure does as hell effect Edmund.”
“Ed!” Echo went to run for him but was pushed back by Gerade.
“You can’t interfere” Gerade threw Ed as he plopped down into a forming puddle only to grunt more in pain, his skin was burning as obvious as burning could get, “This is our war.”
“Leave him alone.” Echo glared over to him as he just laughed.
“Or what? You’re going to fight me?”
“No, I will.” Aria coughed still holding her side.
“Oh how cute, this is just like a movie” Gerade smiled amused, “But it won’t end how you want it.”
“Fight me.” Aria glared over to him.
“I thought you were supposed to be spreading peace.”
“Not to you.” She plucked a feather from her wings and pointed it over to him.
“What are you going to do? Write on me?” He laughed at her but flinched feeling the feather puncture his neck, “ . . .Ow.”
“You may not be affected by holy water on the outside, but on the inside.” She stopped noticing him pluck the feather out of his neck then scratch at the wound.
“Allergic?” Echo questioned while pulling Ed out of the forming puddle and continued to drag him to some sort of shelter.
