A new chapter

Melanie fortson , that's me ! A fourteen year old girl from everdeen, what's that you ask ? It's my home , well duh! Haha I kid I kid ...its a place where people that are well ...not normal live . By not normal I mean , I'm a black dog ...obviously not now I'm a teenaged girl ...I often change at night though . I go to kington prep , it's my first year in high school ! Well this is basically my high school life , I hope you enjoy my many mistakes and funny adventures ...what are we waiting for let's begin!

* Melanie's point of view *

Finally , my first day of high school ! This better be better than middle school , like my sister said it would be .

As the school building came into sight , it was huge ...like a castle! Child hood fantasies mel , child hood FANTASIES!!! Ok ok I'm chill I got this ...swagger waaaallllllk , ugh stop I look stupid !

"MELANIE , MEL , BUTTMUNCH!" A familiar voice shouted as they aggressively grabbed my shoulder .

Turning my face to see the other , It was indeed my best friend Riley ... The daughter of the phenix ...she's surely a fireball .

"If you don't slow down I am going to burn you literally " she puffed her cheeks , flipping her blonde short hair out of her face .

"Fine fine " I let out a sigh flipping my long brown locks , over my shoulder . "I'm just so excited ! I mean how can you not be! We've only ever known elementary school , and middle school . High school is a whole new story , a different chapter ! " I talked with my hands almost hitting Riley in the face ...although she was taller than me .

"It's just school ...nothing too crazy " she crossed her arms looking to the side , but I could see the smile on her face as I leaned against her . "Ok maybe I'm a little excited " she made a noise that sounded like a laugh ,

Oh well , at least it's something ! I linked arms with the other girl , I guess I kinda took her off guard ...she looked shocked . Before we can step through the school gates , another familiar face flew in front of us .

"Hey guys " the girl floated above us , our vampire friend dove .

"Hello dove I bet your as excited as I am !" I gave her a big smile , but that smile soon faded once I heard her say...

"No I could care less " a serious look to her face , she zoomed into the building .

"Why is no one excited , this is like a new world " I looked up at Riley with a pout

"Earth is a new world , school ? No , and cheer up will ya " she kissed my cheek which she normally didn't , so I just smiled .

Again before we could make it close to the building we where stopped by another , max he's a black eyed being .

" salutations " he put his hand up giving a little wave , he was a very tall kid ...and when I say tall , taller than Riley tall .

"Hai max are yo-" he cut me off ...rude

"No , but I heard this school is different " he pulled his white scarf onto his mouth "goodbye mel , goodbye Riley " he simply walked into the building after giving us another wave

I looked up at Riley as she looked down at me , she knew I was ready to take my first steps into my new life .

As we walked into the building , it looked like some fancy millionaire place or something . I did not fit in at all , please let there be uniforms !

" hello I am principal brannigan , you all must be the fresh new batch of freshman's . I am here to tell you all , this school will change your life . With a great education , gourmet lunches , and friendly community ...you will all love it here , don't forget we have many clubs and many other activities . Before any of you ask any clothing is allowed so you can express yourself , now a word from some of our seniors " the principal stepped back and sat in a chair in the far back of the stage

These two boys , twins they where twins ! Walked up to the stand ...they where demons , isn't that cool!!! And they where attractive !

"Riley they are so ...pretttttyyy" my eyes seemed to have a sparkle to them as I said that , tugging onto Riley's arm . "yeah their faces are nice to look at " she patted my head as if to tell me to stop smiling like a goof .

" we are Jason and Mason , the trouble maker twins ...just kidding ! We wanted to say you will love it here , from true experience from the beginning to now it's been amazing . So your not freaked out us and the other seniors will be taking you into small groups to take you around , and answer your questions . " they both smiled stepping back

"Are they showing us around? I hope they are taking us around ! they can show me around all day !!!" I looked at them with a goofy smile as one smiled at me , I almost fell out my seat .

Riley kept shaking me out of my fantasies , which where pretty prince demon boys taking me back home to my princess bed .
