Pull The Trigger [Precious Memories]

[PROLOUGUE]

Lenny stood on the track in front of the tunnel, waiting for it to come after her. She plugged in her iPod and put on Set The World On Fire by Black Veil Brides.

"Your gonna get yourself killed this time, Lenny!! You have gone WAY too far!" He called from the hill on the left hand side of the track. He couldn't watch, so he walked up the hill, leaving Lenny on the track, with the thing that was going to chase her in about 2-3 minutes.

It came for her. Lenny transfixed on the headlights of the machine, like a bunny caught in headlights. She rolled the wheel on the iPod so she could not here the engine but the lyrics to Set The World On Fire, Lenny started singing along with the song, "We stand tall (united) watch them fall (divided) break the chains and now we'll show them all (fight) fight for all you know when your backs against the wall stand against the liars stronger than before when your life becomes a war Set The World On Fire"

The thing in front of her was about 500 yards away from her when the teen yelled Fire and began to run.

Lenny was totally buzzing. She loved being in a life and death situation. The sudden rush of energy that she got as it chased after her at least 75mph. She loved the feeling that she literally could have died.

She could have been with her Mum, if she had accidentally died, so she couldn't lose out on anything, but her life. Lennie saw it as a win win situation.

But why hadn't he done it with her? They did everything together. So why hadn't he done this?

Lenny's energy slowly vanished, on the way home, as she thought about this. Lenny plugged her earphones in her ears and started listening to Wasted Years by Maroon 5. She looked down at her phone and read the text from him.

Lenny, your still alive then I take it?? L

Obviously, Lenny thought. She hit the reply button, and replied:

Obviously I am, why did you have no faith in me?? And why did you not do it with me?? L xx

She checked her phone every few minutes to see if he replied. He didn't. This was just like him, if he was asked something or told to do something he didn't like, he would just ignore it. However, it was one of the things Lenny like about him, even though it was annoying, she knew he wasn't going to let people walk all over him.

She was almost home by now.

Someone jumped out from the dark alleyway and grabbed Lenny from behind. She tried to scream but they shoved their hand over her mouth. "Hopefully missy, you will learn your lesson this time and not pull stupid crazy stunts for attention. And you will stay away from my step son and stop interfering with his private life!!" He snarled in her ear.

"What?! Why..." Lenny trailed of as his step dad spun her around, so she was facing him.

"Any last words Lenny Thompson?" The older man asked. He twirled something in his hand which caught her attention. She fixed her eyes on it, he noticed her staring and smirked at her.
