days. When Adrian and his family decided to fly me over to Italy they obviously forgot I would need clothes, but it wasn't that bad, Lilly had lovely clothes and because I had lost weight during the turn, they kind of fitted me, well better than they would have before the turn that's for sure. I hadn't lost a lot of weight, just my podgy bits, Adrian said that I was now in perfect physical condition, I was never going to gain weight or age, or grow or shrink, I was the way I am for as long as I live.

I didn't explain what was wrong to Lilly she seemed to already know, I don't know if she read my mind or Adrian, either way it meant I didn't have to say it out loud, say something had happened to Amy, my best friend, my sister. I didn't have to explain it to Evangeline either, and I had to be grateful that they didn't bring it up. Evangeline made up a picnic for the trip; she said we could have a nice romantic meal on the plane.

"Roisin she will be fine, she is strong." Adrian had said the same thing at least ten times; it didn't help the first time so it sure as hell wasn't helping by the tenth.

"Adrian you don't know what will happen, so will you please shut up!" He turned away like he was offended, but I saw a smirk so I knew it was only an act. "So when we get there we are going straight to the hospital?" He nodded, but I knew he didn't like the plan, he had tried to convince me to go home and sleep for a while, but I refused.

"Roisin we need to talk about something." I thought we were talking. "You have been around human yet so you haven't had the craving, but you will be able to smell the blood of your friends, of the other patients and because we are going to a hospital the smell will being intense."

"What are you saying that I will want to eat me friends?" He nodded. "But I haven't even been drinking a lot of blood, how do you know I will crave it?" He took my hand.

"Roisin you are a newly turned vampire, trust me you will crave the blood, so newlt turns go insane with thirst if they are around human. I will be there to make sure you don't do anything to your friends but you have to try and get control, otherwise my being there is pointless." How was his being there pointless? He had killed evil vampire before how would he not be able to restrain me.

"What do you mean pointless?" He turned to me and smiled like he had been waiting for me to ask.

"Roisin you are the strongest vampire I had ever met. Your gifts are abnormally strong; Lilly said you could hear the thoughts of the village near the house." I nodded even thought it wasn't a question. "The village is two miles away, female vampires cannot hear that far unless they have a bond, my mother cannot, Lilly can't either and neither can Isabel, and then there is your other power. No female vampire has ever had telekinesis and your power is even more than that, your power is strong than mine, than my fathers and Alex's. Roisin if you go out of control I will not be able to stop you."

"So I won't go out of control then." He laughed but didn't say anything. I didn't say anything because there was nothing to say. I knew other females couldn't move things with their minds, but I didn't know I was the only one, it was hard to believe actually, I couldn't be the only person who had both gifts. Then there was the blood thing, I couldn't let my feelings get out of control, I wasn't going to hurt anyone, I refused to.

Adrian didn't say anything else, not during the flight not during the car journey to the hospital; he sat in silence holding my hand. I kept out of his head, in case I heard something I didn't want to, he was in a strange mood, the kind men get in before they decide it's not you its them. When we got to the hospital he stopped me at the door.

"Open the link between us so I can try and keep you calm." I fought the desire to roll my eyes and did what he said. "Thank you now, are you ready?" I gave him and nod and moved forward. The automatic glass doors opened and I was immediately hit with the smell. It wasn't blood though, it smelt like bleach, tons of bleach drowning the hospital, I hated the smell when I was human, but now I was a fricking vampire it was a thousand times worse. It took me a minute to get over the smell, to actually move inside the hospital, it was only the thought of Amy and Laura sitting at her side crying which moved me on.
