Song of the chapter: Castle by Hasley
Cover made by me. I would like to know which covers are best. I'll post them as I write the chapters.Chapter 4:Awkward
Before we left the detention classroom, I asked Damon if I could borrow a ride home after school which was really only a way to actually talk about the plan. He nodded and without another word sped-walk to the next lesson. During that little time spent with him in detention I noticed that he wasn't really the type of person to talk a lot. Sure we had a good share of conversation but I still didn't know that much about him.
In Maths, Danny questioned me about this so-called project - apparently I forgot that we shared the same chemistry class together- and I was forced to tell him about the plan. At first he was against it, but when he noticed how serious I was about it he changed his mind. He agreed, but he didn't like it. He promised to keep my secret safe which I was grateful of.
Danny was not as many persons portrayed him to be. Sure he was sometimes rude and had several anger problems but he was a loyal friend and that was one of his best qualities. He once told me that joining the group we were currently in was only a way to make the student body forget about his past bullying ways. He thought that being popular would ease their views of him being a monster. It sure as hell didn't work.

For once I was thankful that my parents always returned home late at night.
I stood with my hands in my pockets, leaning against the hood of the only car left in the parking lot, which happened to be an old red mustang, and kicked random peddles.
Damon was late.
Extremely late.
As in it-had-been-two-hours-since-we-were-supposed-to-meet-up late.
Suddenly, I heard a door slamming shut from the school entrance. I stood straighter and glanced at Damon who was glaring at me. I scoffed. I wasn't the one late, he was. And he better had a good reason.
"Get you butt off my car!" he shouted.
I jumped away and glared at him.
"You goon! Where were you?" I asked him, my arms crossed.
"I forgot I had a meeting for my club and in my defense I thought that you already left by now. So calm down," he said in a frustrated voice.
"I told my friends to not stay for me after school only to stare at the sky for two hours waiting for you and that's the explanation you give me?" I scoffed.
"Just get in the car,"he sighed.
I was about to open the front door when he stopped me.
"In the back,"he added.
"How old do you think I am? Five?" I asked him, incredulously.
"Yes."
I rolled my eyes, ignored him and sat in the passenger seat anyway.
I heard him sigh before he entered the car and sped off to our houses.
