They say,
"There are healthy ways to deal with sadness",
Even while you have tears dripping down your cheek,
A thin piece of metal in your hand,
And blood dripping down your thigh.

They say,
"There are healthy ways to deal with stress".
But the teachers give hours of homework,
A test in every class,
And pressure to speak your presentation.

They say,
"There are healthy ways to eat",
But they give you fast food for lunch,
A small meal of 4 nuggets,
And a fruit cup to go as a side.

They say,
"There are healthy ways to deal with pressure",
But they put pressure on you to go to prestigious schools,
To achieve a perfect GPA,
And to be involved in every activity.

They say,
"There is a healthy way to handle life."
Yet somehow they were blind
to see that they were so busy telling us to be healthy
that they missed the teens who've died inside.
