"This is where you live? God, I feel like I should be kneeling before you" Angel exclaimed, staring open mouthed at her surroundings. I blushed, and stared at the ground. "It's not my fault. My mom has a really nice paying job. She's never around though. So it doesn't matter"I said quietly, trying hard to focus on the marble flooring of my front entryway. Angel closed her mouth, and glanced over at me. "Oh..I'm sorry. I didn't know..Otherwise I wouldn't have-" I put my hand over her mouth. "Just spare me your pity please. It's not like I live in a shack in the woods. I have nothing to be sad about. This place is too big for just me anyway. It gets lonely. Which is why you'll be living here now" I finished, looking up at her shocked expression, and smirking triumphantly. Got her. And she thought I actually cared whether or not my mother was home. I'd learned not to mind a long time ago. "What? I can't live here! How much would I have to pay you anyway? This place is so huge, that just a bedroom would be $500 a night!" I stared at her confused. Then I started laughing. "You think I'm going to make you pay me? Are you serious? Angel hon, it's not money that I want from you" I said, trailing my fingers slowly down her side. Angel giggled like an excited child. Then she grabbed my hand, and squeezed it tightly in hers. "So you- you want me to stay here- LIVE here, with you, for free?" She asked, staring at me, her eyes wide with hope. I smiled, and nodded. I her eyes filled with tears. "Oh thank you! Thank you so much! I can't- I don't believe- I never thought I'd ever get out of that nasty apartment building! I thought I'd live there my entire life. I thought I'd die there!" She flung her arms around me, and let out a small sob. I held her tight, and rubbed her back soothingly. "You'll be okay. There's a bedroom next to mine upstairs, that's all yours. Unless of course, you'd like to share a room with me" I said, smiling. Angel pulled back, and wiped her eyes. "I think I'd like to share a room with you, if that's okay miss" She said, winking. A flirty smile played across my lips. "Well that's all in order. The bed's plenty big, so there's enough room for a goodnight's sleep, and..other activities" I said, raising my eyebrows suggestively. Angel blushed. Damn I was good at this. "Well, that's enough chit chat for now. What do you say we go get your stuff from the apartment?" Angel cocked her head, and gave me a confused look. "How are we going to get it all here? I have a bunch of useless junk" she said, chuckling. I just smirked. "Let's just say that, even though I may have told Jason off, he hasn't quite moved on yet. So, I figured I could get a favor or two out of him. A favor involving his lovely pickup truck" I said, smiling gloatingly. Angel rolled her eyes at me, and shook her head. "Aw Vi, that's mean. Come on. The poor guy's too in love with you to resist, and now you're taking advantage of him?" I laughed cruelly. "Taking advantage of? He's creepy, and pervert. He deserves it." Angel shrugged. "Fair enough."
