Chapter 16

*Prom Night*

Tonight was prom and I was so nervous. I never thought I would be the one to get asked out on prom. Jack would have been my prom date if this wasn't going on.

I already had my makeup on because my aunt said "Don't put on makeup in your dress." My aunt helped me with my makeup because back in the 80's she was a model.

My eyes were a smoky eye look, I had my foundation on lightly, and my lips were semi-red.

It was time for me to get in my dress so I took it off the hanger and slipped it over my body. I then put on my spiked 5in heels and some jewelry to go with it.

I then heard the door bell ring so I rushed downstairs because I knew that Jasper was at the door. I quickly opened the door and there he stood. I was in awe because he looked breathtaking.

"Jasper you look amazing"

"Laura, your the one that looks amazing"

I just smiled and Jasper came in so I closed the door behind him.  My aunt came from in the kitchen and told us to do certain poses for the picture.

"To bad your mom and dad didn't get to see this" My aunt said.

"It's okay, I rather them be clean"

My aunt was finally done taking pictures, so Japser and I walked out of the house and got to the car.

We finally got to the school campus and we both could hear the loud music from outside.

We both got out of the car and we walked in holding hands. The theme is "Ocena" so everything was a beachy themed and stuff.

Everyone was staring at us. I knew they weren't staring just to stare, they were staring because how could the hottest guy on the whole school campus be dating a so called "Odd, wierd, freak" like me. I am so used to them looking at me that way because I get it everyday.

I glanced over to see all the people but there was one eyes that caught mine, and it was Jack's. We looked at eachother for a little bit then I looked away. I wasn't going to let him ruin my night.

I then saw Abigail walk up and kiss Jack. I quickly looked away. I couldn't bare to watch that because I knew she didn't mean it. I knew it was all fake. I knew that she was only pretending to do that because she wants him to do whatever she says. That kiss meant no meaning. When I would hold Jack in my arms when he was scared, when he wanted to die, I cared for him. I loved Jack with my whole heart. I loved him more than my own family. Jack was the only thing I had. Without him I was nothing.

"Babe, don't let it ruin your night"

"I won't"

"C'mon let's dance"

There weren't really playing the music that I would be listening to but it was still fun. Jasper and I were dancing pretty oddly.

I then saw the police come in. The whole prom stopped and the police called all of our atenttion.

"Which one of you is Jack Kelling?"

All of the crowd that was standing around Jack moved away.

"So I see its you. Your under arrest for the murder of Cody Pollard"

Then the police came over and arrested Jack. As he was walking he looked into my eyes and the hate he sent into my eyes sent chills down my spine.

"Next we need Abigail Klein"

Again the crowd that was standing around her moved and she stood there looking foolish. She then walked over to me and I knew she was pissed.

"LAURA YOU HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS, DIDN'T YOU?"

"No I didn't"

"Don't lie to me Laura"

"I'm not"

"Laura go to hell"

The cops then arrested her and he took Jack and walked them both outside.

Jasper and I started to dance again.

The pain I saw in Jacks eyes was horrific. I knew he was always scared of jail. He told me that because he was in there for a few days. I knew that he deserved to be in jail but at the same time it was all Abigail. I really hope that she gets charged and not Jack.

I really just wish I never saw that kiss. I felt like I was going to be sick. I knew she was only messing with his brain. I knew she will  get those charges. I will fight.
