Next Morning

The news spread like wildfire. Every major headline, talk show, and social media platform was buzzing with one name:

“Global Model Park Jimin and Min Corporation Heir Min Yoongi’s Engagement Set for Tomorrow!”

Jimin’s face was on every screen—elegant, poised, and breathtaking. The media hailed it as the “wedding of the year,” the unexpected but thrilling union of two powerhouses from completely different worlds.

Meanwhile, Jimin’s home was alive with warmth and celebration.

His mother, flustered yet glowing with pride, directed relatives and friends bustling around the living room. Laughter filled the air as people chatted, folded invitation cards, arranged gift baskets, and shared stories.

His mother’s friend clutched his hand affectionately, “You’ve become a prince, Jimin-ah. I always knew you were special.”

Jimin smiled, cheeks pink. But before he could respond, the doorbell rang.

He walked over, confused, and opened the door.

“Taehyung…” Jimin blinked in disbelief.

And the next second, he was pulled into a tight, almost desperate hug.

“Yah, you punk! You forgot your best friend?” Taehyung’s deep voice cracked with emotion.

Jimin clutched his jacket, his eyes wet. “I can’t believe you’re really here…”

It had been two and a half years. College memories rushed in like waves— endless laughter and tears. They pulled apart only to look at each other again, eyes dancing with joy.

“I came to Seoul last night,” Taehyung grinned. “And as soon as I landed and saw the news—you, getting married to Yoongi-hyung—I nearly fainted in the taxi.”

Jimin laughed, the sound shaky but real. “I can imagine your shocking face”

Taehyung followed him inside, eyes wide as he took in the wedding prep chaos. “I tried calling you when I saw your first runway show. But your number—”

“Changed it. Two years ago,” Jimin replied softly. “Too much was happening… I needed space.”

“Well, you went and became a global star,” Taehyung teased. “Park Jimin—the face of Vogue Korea, Harper’s Bazaar, Burberry… I saw your New York gallery photos. Damn, you’re killing it!”

Jimin chuckled. “And you’re the Taehyung they wrote about in Elle? The artist with a whole gallery in Chicago?”

“Two galleries, thank you very much,” Tae smirked. “But none of it means anything if I couldn’t be here for my best friend. I’m not missing your big day, Jiminie.”
