The little girl ran around the room, flapping her arms up and down as if she were a bird.
"Sierra..." a soft voice said.
The little girl stopped and looked up at her older sister, straightening her pale pink dress. "Yes, Savannah?" She asked, worried she was in trouble for messing up her curls.
"Come here," Savannah said to her little sister. Sierra walked over to her sister. "Tonight, I won't be able to read you a bedtime story." She stroked her six year old sister's brown curls.
"Why?" Sierra asked, looking at Savannah with her brown puppy dog eyes.
"Its a secret," Savannah whispered, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Savannah, I really want to know," her little sister begged.
"You'll know soon enough," Savannah said.
She started walking away but her sister grabbed on to her arm and turned her around. "Is it about Daniel?" Sierra asked, trying not to giggle.
Savannah smiled a mischievous smile that made her sister adore her even more and flicked her Sierra-like hair as she exited the room, silently refusing to answer. Savannah and Sierra looked very much alike, even though they were ten years apart. Sierra had long, curly brown hair almost identical to her sister's. They both also had big, brown eyes and a few freckles. They both were very tall for their age, Savannah towering over most of the boys she knew.
Throughout dinner, Savannah never talked one bit, which was quite unusual for her considering she shared Sierra's love of talking. She finished dinner before Sierra, her brother, and her parents, quickly leaving the room and racing through the hallways.
Sierra finished dinner last, as usual due to her obsession with talking. She walked up to her room, opened the door and jumped onto her bed. She rolled around in her blanket a few moments before checking on Savannah to see if she couldn't sleep either.
When she opened the door however, she found Savannah fast asleep. Of course, being the annoying little sister she was, she junped onto Savannah's bed to wake her up, only to find Savannah falling into pieces.
Only, it wasnt Savannah at all but pillows and blankets placed to look like a teenage girl's body.
The terrified little girl raced through the halls to her parents' room. She threw the doors open and jumped onto her parents' bed, screaming that Savannah had been kidnapped. Naturally, Sierra's loud voice alerted many guards who rushed in to see what all of the screaming was all about. The king and queen, Sierra's parents, were quite angry to be awoken from their dreams.
Sierra rode on the back of a horse named Rosalie with her father, King Pierce. The whole royal family, King Pierce, Queen Analyse, Prince Timothy, and Princess Sierra, was woken up to go on a search for Savannah.
As they were riding, Queen Analyse noticed a fire to their right. She pointed there and everyone went to go investigate.
Sierra wished that her mother never noticed the fire, for what they found was enough to scare a full grown man (and it did terrify King Pierce) let alone a little girl like Sierra.
They found Savannah's body laying on the ground engulfed in flames with a note lying beside her.
Dear Royal Family,
I never loved your idiot daughter. She was just too in love to realize it. My father is the head of the Fair Squad, a group of people risking their lives to get rid of the Royal Family. One down, four to go.
-Daniel
Sierra's family sobbed and held on to each other. It was in that moment that Sierra realized something she'd remember her whole life.
Love is poison.
