She lay there silently as she started to awaken. Waking up in a hospital was not the best thing in the world for 15 year old May Davison,all her life May was bullied and had no father only a drug adict mom. The only true person May could really tell things to were her best friend Jake. Jake was the only person May truely trusted,May and Jake had been friends since pre-school. May could here the thumping aginst the panneled hospital floor. In the back of May's head she thought maybe her father had came to finally meet his daughter. As may opened her eyes she only saw her mother,she sat up as her mother turned to see her daughter akwake and alive. As her mother about ready to say something to May the nurse came in to check on May.
"Are you okay miss May Flower?"
The nurses and docters alwaysed called her May Flower because her name was May and She loved flowers somethimes.
"I am fine just a little thirsty. Well actually i would be better if my best friend Jake was here normally he is already here but this time he isnt. I am getting very worried."
Nervously May's mother walked over to the nurse and whispered for her leave.As May's other sounded as if she was going to cry she looked at May.
"Honey I have some horrible news about Jake." About to cry May starts to sit up even more
"Well what happen to Jake Is he alright?"
"Honey Jake died yesterday.He got in a horrible car accident while texting you that he was on his way over."As May's mother started to cry she walked over to confurt her daughter.
"How could he die?Why?Why did he have take him Jake wasny ready!"As May balled up in her blanket and a pillow over her head the nrses could her the crying from down the hall.May never thought Jake would die at the age of 16,he would never text while driving.May had the thought that her mother might have lied to her,she was very sad and deppressed.Knowing that her best friend and football teammate May was in the hardest state of time she wanted no confurt when she got home.All May wanted was her bestfriend back and for him to be alive and here with her.
Suddenly out of nowhere Mays boyfriend Tyler came in with nothing for her.Walking out of the room May's mother gave him a look of dicust knowing that Tyler was cheating.
"Hey babe you ready to go home and school?"Suddenly a girl May knew had walked in and said she was dating Tyler and that May doesnt diserve him and many other mean things to May's face.
"Look bitch get the fuck out of my face and go home!"May screamed as loud as she could and started to look at Tylr in discust.
"You too Tyler me and you are over have fun with that skanky bitch who probly only wants you for the sex."May as calm as possible grabs her clothes and gets them on.
"Mom i want to go home im ready to go i cant stay here much longer."As May's mother walks in and grabs her purse she nods as if she was happy to see Tyler gone and not dating May now.As May grabs all her clothes and her bag she hugs her favorit nurse.
"Ready mom lets go."As may sits in the silent car with her mom she hears her phone,checking to see who it is she makes a nasty look.She was reading a text message from Tyler.Her reply as not so polite nor nice.Once they pull into the drive way of their huge house May opend the door in such a hurry.May wanted to change.She wanted the friends she diserved, she wanted to be noticed.She was going to be colorfull.She was going to be the girl everyone knew she was.Stumbling on the top of the conrete steps yelling for her mom to get out of the car,she was thinking how much shit she had.May was going to get rid of everything she had and change into "that girl"
"Mom stop fucking around and open the door i have stuff i need to do!"May couldnt stop thinking about how bad she wanted to be noticed when suddenly a guy came over.His name?Keith Myers.He had never known about May.When he walked over to her she was convinced he just moved here.
"Hey im Keith I never knew this neighbor hood had such a beautiful girl.I just moved here i wass wondering who lived here."Hands in his pockets he loks around.May frozen she finally thinks of something to say
"I am May i have lived here ever since i was like 5. So when did you move here?"
"About three weeks ago.I was wondering who lived here I mean nobody came outside or anything."That sound of consurn warmed Mays heart.
"Well umm yeah my mother and I live here we were just at the hospital for three weeks."Nervous of what Keith might say she starts to tear up.
"Why were you in the hospital for three weeks isnt that a long time to stay?Anxious to know he slightly looks down.
"I was in the hospital because of my actions i had tried to kill myself and my mom came up i was so close too."Sounding like a wierdo she thinks of something."But I am glad i was capeable of staying alive because i wouldnt have this moment here right now with you."Smiling Keith looks up in amaze.May knew that if she wanted Keith she definetly had to change unless he liked her the way she was.
"So what school do you go to Keith?"
"Oh i go to South Woods High and you May?"
"I go to the same school I am in 10th grade the school is alright but everybody there know me as the death angle cause i have always been so happy until i found out who my father was and how everybody turned on me except for my best friend Jake who just pasted away yesterdaay in a major car wreck."
"Oh well I am very sorry for your loss.That sounds very depressing and very sad.Anywase i was wondering since you go to the same school as me maybe you would like to start walking with me?"Sounding ass if Keith was going to smile in amaze May says that she would love to walk with him and invited him inside for a cup of lemonade.
