I make my way upstairs to the bedroom Cory and I have been staying in and am greeted by Cory's loud rock music, which is fine because I actually happen to love the song that is on at the moment, The Pride by Five Finger Death Punch. I open the door to the bedroom and Cory is sitting at our desk on his laptop. He hears me come in the room and looks up and smiles at me.
"Watcha doing Cory?"
"Just browsing some new songs on YouTube. What do you think of this one?"
"Well I mean, I've heard it before, but I've always loved Five Finger Death Punch soooo, I guess it's pretty alright."
"This is actually my first time hearing them and I have to say, they're pretty damn good!"
"Well...duh. All the bands I listen to are good."
"You are such a goofball, and a blunt goofball in fact!"
"I do pride myself in my bluntness."
Cory laughs at me and continues looking up songs and adding them to his playlist.
"So what were you and Sandy talking about after I came up here?"
"Something that I can't tell you about! Have you started packing yet?"
"Yeah. Everything's in my duffel bags in the closet except for a few outfits I can wear before I actually leave."
I go in the closet and open up one of Cory's duffel bags and steal a neon orange American Eagle hoodie. It's actually super cute! The little eagle on the front is black and the strings you use to cinch the hood tighter are white. It'll be a little big on me, but I need something of his for when he's gone. He must hear me zipping and unzipping his bag because he looks up from his laptop and grins at me.
"What'd you just steal out of there?"
"I took one of your hoodies. I need something for when you're gone!"
"I find that insanely adorable. Hey I'll make a deal with you, you can keep my hoodie on two conditions."
"Two? Uh oh, it's usually only one!"
"Wanna hear the conditions?"
"Yess a ree bub!"
"Condition one: You try it on now so I can see what you look like in it.
Condition two: After you try it on, I'm going to think you look absolutely adorable and I want to be able to cherish it so you have to let me take a picture of you in it.""Okay, condition one I agree to, but with condition two, do you think you could maybe be in the picture with me? I feel awkward when people like take pictures of me when I'm by myself."
"I don't know why you'd feel awkward, but sure. I'll be in the picture too and I'll even send it to you."
"Okay!"
I slip Cory's hoodie on over my tank top and pull my hair out of the back of it so it's not like all stuck in the back. I was right; the hoodie is definitely big for me. It goes almost to the bottom of the shorts that I'm wearing and its baggy, but really comfy. Once I'm all comfy, I look over to Cory and see if he approves.
"I was right babe. You do look adorable!"
I blush a dark color of red and Cory smirks at me.
"Yeah, yeah just take the picture before my cheeks catch on fire."
Cory grabs his phone out of his back pocket and sits back down in the desk chair and motions for me to go over to him. How are we both going to fit in that chair? All of a sudden, I feel Cory's hands grip my waist and pull me down onto his lap. Well, I guess that's how we're both going to fit. As if Cory can tell I'm blushing, he peeks his head around my shoulder and plants a kiss on my cheek.
