12: The Date

Short update of Sean and Eve's date.

Me and Sean drove to the movies making small talk. It wasn't awkward small talk though. I felt that I could be myself around him. We saw Ted 2 OT was funny. I can say by far this is the best date ive been on. Considering it's the only one.
"Do you wanna get some food before I take you home?" He asked taking his eyes off the rode.
"Yeah, can we go to Sonic?" I asked hoping he'd say yes. He nodded and we made our way to Sonic.
"Welcome to Sonic, what can I get you today?" The girl asked over the intercom.
"Yes, can I get a superSONIC Bacon Double Cheeseburger with no onions." He told her then turned towards me.
"What would you like?" He asked.
"Small Chili Cheese Fries and a Sprite." I answered.
"Is that all you want?" He asked making sure.
I told him yeah and he finished ordering.
"And a small Chili Cheese Frie with a large Coke and Sprite." Be told the girl looking at the screen.
"Is that all sir?" She asked. He told her yeah.
"Okay that'll be $18.25." She told him the total. He took out $20 for our food.
"So tell me about yourself." He said looking me in the eye.
"Okay so I'm an only child. I live with my mom my dad died 2 years ago, so it's Just me and my mom." I said looking down at my hands to hide the tears trying to escape.
"Eve I'm sorry I know I ca-" He was cut off by the lady bringing our food.
I wiped away the tears that had fallen. Sean handed me the food and put the drinks in the cup holder.
He paid the lady and told her to keep the change. We were eating in silence until I spoke up.
"What about you? Anything interesting you wanna tell me? "
"Actually yes, but I wanna tell you something first. You are amazing and I know we barely know each other but I wanna get to know you more and take you out on more dates if you're okay with that." He said with hopeful eyes.
"Yes I'd love that very much." I honestly told him.
"Great okay um I'm the oldest of three. I have twin siblings my brother and sister. We live with our parents. I play guitar and piano. And I like to hang out at the skate park sometimes." He said finishing his food.
We talked some more and then he took me home.
"I had a great night tonight." He said walking me to my door.
"Me too we should do it again sometime." I said looking him in the eye.
We looked each other in the eyes. He leaned down towards my lips. His eyes going from my lips to my eyes as if asking for permission. I leaned in out lips grazing. His lips attached to mine. The kiss was short but amazing.
"Wow." I said trying to hide my blush.
"Yeah I'll text you tomorrow, okay." he said letting me go.
"Okay." I said watching him walk back to his truck.
I walked inside and saw my mother sitting on the couch watching a movie.
"He's cute honey. Are you going on anymore dates with him?" She asked looking at me.
"You saw us?" I asked embarrassed. She shook her head and I answered her question. "Yeah I really like him mom he's sweet and amazing." I told her dazing off into the air.
"Well I want to meet him if you guys are gonna start dating, okay sweetie." She said turning off the TV. I just nodded.
"Okay well I'm gonna go to bed don't stay up to late. I love you." She gave me a kiss and went up to her room.
I showered and put my pajamas on and fell asleep with a smile on my face.
