The journey was long, but we were close. Levi told us we had about two hours left ahead. I was getting antsy and just wanted to get there. Pryia and I had both expressed to each other multiple times that we worried about was going to happen when we got there. At times I wondered who Dana's brother was. Levi must like him. Was he an important person in Leave?
"I can't believe we're so close!" Pryia squealed.
"I know! I'm so tired of just traveling. I'm surprised I even got in The Leave. I mean it's just hard to believe." I said.
"i watched you, Scarlet. You were amazing! Dana and Levi looked freaked out by the way you challenged them. You were just so...unbelievable. To tell you the truth I've never met someone as exciting and daunting as you. I like it." Pryia said and started up a conversation with Jace.
During the journey Pryia and I had gotten close. She had never complimented me before though. She was super sweat and easy to talk to. I hope we could still see each other a lot. I was nervous I wouldn't have a close friend if I wasn't going to be able to see her.
We rode on and the minutes passed by. We were close. Falda could sense it too.
"How much father?" Angus asked. I was surprised because he really hadn't talked much during the journey.
"We are close. Only about half a mile." Levi called back.
I wondered how many people were in The Leave. What did headquarters look like?
We started going up hill and I knew we were about there. I saw a small building that looked to be a stable and Dana told us to grab out stuff and dismount. I grabbed my bow and pack and dismounted. I rubbed Falda's muzzle.
"I'll see you soon boy. Count on it," I whispered.
"Are you seriously talking to your horse?" Jace snickered.
I could feel my face redden. Jace was handsome but had turned out to be a jerk. Looks were deceiving.
"Why should you care what I do?" I spat back, venom in my every action.
I could see Jace flinch and knew he was worried.
"Maybe you should stay out of my business and you won't get hurt I said pulling out my knife.
"Scarlet that's enough!" Dana shouted. I turned to her glaring. I was tired of Jace. He had taunted me the whole trip and that was the last straw. At first I decide to ignore it, but I was done.
Pryia gave me a worried glance and we all let our horse run. Apparently they knew exactly where to go.
We walked up a path and my legs were sore from not walking that much for a few days. Soon we were walking  on a stone path. I didn't know what to expect.I could hear a huge rush of water. As we got closer there was a huge waterfall. The water rushed down and filled into a huge natural pool.
"This is headquarters?" Pryia asked.
"The entrance," Dana replied.
It was so amazing and pretty. The thing was I didn't see any entrance. Pryia seemed to see that too because she asked,
"This? Where do we enter though?"
Just then I spotted a small slide off to the left of the waterfall hidden behind some bushes. I started walking towards it. The Slide spiraled down to where I couldn't see it.
"Is this the entrance, Dana?" I called out.
"As a matter of fact it is! How did you..." she trailed off sounding surprised.
I just shrugged. "Do we go down?"
Dana nodded. "Do you want to go first?"
My stomach clenched. I didn't even know what was down there. Was it death? A pit? I had to try. I had to be brave.
"Why not?" I said and sat down on the slide, adjusting myself. I pushed off with my hands and went slipping down into darkness.
