I took a long deep breath before opening the message.
"I don't want our friendship to end with us hating each other." Read Niall's message to me.
"We'll let's clarify this then. I don't hate you." I texted him.
"And I don't hate you." He said back. I didn't text him back after that; I didn't know what to say.
So were we still friends or not? Does he still want to be friends? Should I ask? No. What if I am wrong? I should really ask, but I don't want it to be awkward. Whatever I can figure it out later. I'm just glad he doesn't hate me.
I spent the rest of summer working, swimming, riding bike, and hanging out with friends and family. Then it was time for school to start.
