"Yeah," a voice said "yeah... yeah, we'll be there. Now or later?...Okay, see ya then."
I opened my eyes. It was somewhere around 10.
Michael hung up his phone. "Oh, hey, you're right on time. Luke called."
"I noticed," I groaned.
"What's up with that?" He asked.
I shrugged, "Don't know. Can you throw some waffles in the toaster while I get ready?"
"Sure. We don't go over there until 2, since Hazel had to work and she wanted to be there." He did that while I put on a new change of clothes and fixed my hair, and we sat watching cartoons until it was time to go to Luke's.
We threw on our shoes and I drove.
We all sat on his couch and chairs in the living room, just chilling for a second.
Hazel was the first to speak up, "Well I don't know what sitting here's going to accomplish. But I honestly think you might have to put off the tour."
"No, that's not going to happen. We need another solution," Michael said.
"To the tour problems or to Calum and Ash?" Luke asked.
Michael sighed, "The tour is going to be fine, you'll get used to it at all our upcoming practice rehearsals this week."
"Oh, yeah. That's true. I've got that handled." Luke said. "Hey, didn't you see him?" He turned to me.
I nodded, "Oh, yeah. Calum needs someone right now... he's for sure got some shit going on."
"So, how do we approach him?" Hazel asked. We looked to the boys for this one.
Luke chimed first, "Well, I asked Ashton about it yesterday, and he said that no grudges are held at Calum but he wasn't gonna touch anything."
I nodded, "Okay. So it's settled. Calum needs a vent."
"Or a shoulder, Cal's an emotional guy," Michael said.
Luke seconded that, and I shrugged.
"Why don't we just call him over here?" Hazel suggested.
"That's a good idea, yeah, Ashton isn't here. But who's gonna call him? It can't be me." Luke said.
"I'll call him," I said, dialing Calum. It rang a few times, until he answered.
"Rachel, hey." He seemed in a decent mood.
"Are you busy?"
"Nope."
"Good. Can you come over to Luke's for a second? It's just me. Plus him and Haze." I didn't mention Michael; I wasn't sure how he'd react.
"Yeah, be there in two." Calum hung up.
"He's on his way," I smiled lightly.
We all triumphed then chit-chatted and joked around to lighten up. Calum walked in five minutes later.
I love how they don't even knock or ring the doorbell when they get to each other's places. They just walk in.
"Hey," Calum smiled quick at all of us. "Michael, what're you doing here?"
Michael shrugged. "Just thought I'd drop by."
Calum sat in the chair I moved from. Hazel and I shared one couch, Luke and Michael the other.
"Hey, Calum-" I started but he began talking instead.
"Look, if this is because of what I did yesterday, I'm leaving."
