The rain was pouring and the clouds were black as night overhead, due to the weather the land was very foggy especially in the woods where there was a great battle going on. The battle was between warrior and hunter, the hunter and the hunted. The warrior Sabin, a warrior cursed with one of the demons in the dimOuniak, a box that contained the most vile demon lords because even hell itself could not keep them trapped, Sabin's demon was the demon of Doubt. A demon that was useful when fighting but not for anything else. Currently he was fighting against his most hated rival, the hunters, humans that believed he and his friends were the cause of all the problems in the world they were on the hunt for the same thing, the dimOuniak, however they each wanted it for different reasons, he and his warriors wanted the box to keep it safe from the world, while the hunters wanted to find the box and seal the demons back inside and kill him and the other warriors.
Thanks to Doubt, Sabin found all the humans to be rather weak and was easily manipulated. Taking their most hidden fears and using them against his enemies but his war was just beginning thanks to a certain someone in this crusade of hunters.
Sabin brought his hands up in a defensive stance as the girl in front of him lashed out with her Katana, the blade had clashed against his daggers causing the sound of metal crashing against metal reverberating through the misty woods. He could feel the weight of her pushing against his daggers trying to force herself through the blockade. The demon stirred inside his mind, sending doubts to the women. For some reason the waves kept bouncing back as if the girl had a shield blocking her mind. This particular hunter had dual colored eyes of dark green and purple, and hair black as a raven's feathers, her bangs were flipped from her eyes pulled back into a tight ponytail, the bangs were uniquely multicolored with four rich colors; yellow, blue green and purple. Even though it was tied back he couldn't help but notice the hair went all the way to her thighs.
Sabin was shocked for once in his life that a woman could move so fast with so much hair, granted it was up... but that must be one hell of a heavy ponytail. There was another thing that had caught his eye too, the fact that she had a mask over her mouth, was she thinking she could catch his demon or something? But the way her outfit was made it seem that mask was just part of it. Having lost his defense, and focus the girl before him had aimed for his neck.
"It's time for you to die you demon!" the mysterious female said in a clear voice, her voice it was like a beautiful chorus but he couldn't think of that right now. He was on the battlefield why was he thinking about pointless things now?! At the last second he was able to dodge her sword and she was yelled at from a distance from the leader of it all,
"Demmonta! Don't kill him! If you do you release the demon and release all hell to the world!" at this command the female near Sabin backed down.
"you got lucky this time, But next time I will make you wish Galen let me cut off your head and drink your blood." She growled her words were icy and clipped when she spoke to him. Sabin couldn't believe what he had seen and heard, cut off his head? Drink his blood? What in the hell was she? Why was she with the hunters if she wasn't like the rest of the pathetic lot?
The warrior left the scene of the fight as the hunters began to flee upon the one named Demmonta's intent to kill him. As he moved through the trees he thought about the name that Galen used to call the female off, that couldn't possibly be her actual name. Galen was using a different name, a name meant to insult her, he noticed the female's change in demeanor upon hearing the name Demmonta.
He had finally returned back to his castle home on the mountain in the outskirts of the city. His home was made of stone, had stained glass windows, and housed the immortal warriors; together they called this place the fortress. As Sabin made his way up the mountain he had to make sure he wasn't followed by the hunters or anybody else that could invade their privacy, once he made his way through the large brass doors he went to Torin's room the technical wizard among the lot of them.
"Torin I need you to do something for me. Look up the name Demmonta and see what pops up." Upon this command Torin offered Sabin a look of confusion as he did what he was asked,
"you know you could say please... But fine." Sabin watched as one of Torin's many monitors began to pull up a translation of the word.
"Well it seems it's spanish for demon of the mountains... But there is something else too, An article called: "Family of Six in a Deadly Accident" at this Sabin instantly rushed over to Torin and grabbed the chair the warrior was sitting in.
"Open that up! I saw someone today with the hunters when I got attacked and Galen called her Demmonta..."
"I see" Torin said giving Sabin a dumbfounded look."Well the article says... The well renowned Demmonta family was in a factory accident. The building burned down on the second day of business; the family was working that day. For reasons unknown the building was set aflame. The people who died were identified as Katherine, twins Evelyn and Eevee, Angel, Christian Demmonta, and workers in charge of machinery. The only survivor was eight year old Alice Demmonta. She was found badly burned and barely alive. The child was in a fit of tears upon being found calling for her family. The child was then taken to..." Torin then paused reading the article to say something that came to his head, "Hold on I know this story... It happened ten years ago" he said to Sabin with a slight sadness in his tone but he still wore his smile.
"I just have no idea where she is now..." Sabin gave a growl and crossed his arms,
"I know where she is, she's with Galen and his little hunter goon squad... He must of told her that we were the cause of that fire. That doesn't answer what she is and why's she so fast." he held a hint of curiosity in his voice, even though anger was pumping through his veins at the thought that Galen could be manipulating this poor women that suffered so much already.
"Oh that's easy.." Torin said with a laugh, "she's some kind of immortal. Perhaps one we don't know about, or know about but refuse to believe." The warrior before Sabin said and he did a few clicks and enhanced a newspaper clipping of the small child showing two marks on her neck that looked like little puncture holes from fangs."Are you meaning to tell me that woman who tried to kill me was a vampire?!" Sabin slammed his hand on the table.
"I wasn't saying anything I was showing you. There's a difference" Torin chuckled and Sabin left shutting the door behind him."Just what in the world is going on here. There's no way that woman is a vampire. But then again pictures never lie especially if it's such a tiny detail like that... There wasn't any exaggeration on the puncture wounds either. Maybe she is a vampire and Galen forces her to hide her true identity. What a cruel man, I guess she's one of his better fighters due to her abilities." He paused for a moment in the hallway, staring at the wall still in a huff about the entire thing. How could Galen use and lie to her? "That would explain why she's so fast and powerful. I need to find her again and speak to her she might tell me more about herself." With a set determination he headed back to his room for the night.
