The hydra only grew one head as it took off once again leaving satoru and the others watching it fade in the distance
Gareth:Why'd it grow..
"Only one head..?" °I muttered as I continued Gareth's comment°
Continuation. . .
After that encounter Satoru and the others continued their pursuit till they had to stop when night fall came
Where they stayed at a very familiar spot..
"Let's stay here.." °I suggested pointing at the same cave where we hid from the hydra ages ago°
The soft crackle of the fire echoed in the dim cave as all were gathered near the caml fire
Satoru sat nearest the flame as his gaze was fixated on the fire whole access him evalin tended on Irish bruise and across them Gareth snofed lightly against the wall, already half asleep while tsubaki stood close to the fire alongside satoru
Tsubaki:Damed lizard fried my edge. That thing's hide ain't right °Tsubaki said as she inspected hee dented blade°
Irish: Well that's what you get for swinging like you're hammering an anvil °irish chuckled as tsubaki simply smirked°
Tsubaki: I was hammering an anvil but that anvil moved and tried to eat me °Tsubaki said jokingly as everyone chuckled easing the tension°
They kept eating and talking till the fire was nearly out, as by then mostly everyone had fallen asleep except for satoru who stayed up as a guard as a faint wailing kept him awake
Until the faint wailing slolwy began getting louder waking everyone up
Tsubaki: What's that? °Tsubaki asked while yawning°
"I'm not sure.." °I replied as I got up and began walking outside as everyone followed close behind°
They move together out of the cave and behind a tree, it was quiet for a moment but tense as they took a peek. They saw it.
A baby hydra, no bigger than a horse stumbling clumsily through the mud, it's many eyes blink with confusion
Until the baby began wailing once again after seeing no sight of it's mother as it wailed desperately to alert it's mother
Evalin: It's looking for it's mother nya.. °Evalin whispered as she walks out the tree°
Irish: Poor thing..
Even Irish couldn't help but feel pity for the baby hydra
"It's a monster.. wait no, we can use it, we can draw the mother out" °I said with an idea coming into mind but the others immediately turned to me which a frown°
Evalin: No Satoru! It's a child nya °Evalin immediately got Infront of satoru as she disagrees with his plan°
Irish: She's right. It's scared, lost, this is cruelty satoru.
Tsubaki: I agree with them, Satoru this.. this doesn't feel right °Tsubaki said hesitantly as the baby hydra turned to the voices°
Gareth: We're not here to butcher babies, lad.. °Gareth said as he finally gave in and agreed with Evalin and the others°
"You think it'll grow up grateful!? It'll become like it's mother! Killer! It doesn't matter if it's small now.. it's still a threat." °I yelled with frustration building up in my tone°
Evalin: You don't know that nya! °Evalin argued back as the baby hydra approached them°
"You think I don't know that!?" °My hand twitched as rea tempest flicker in my hand and in sudden burst of frustration I released rea tempest°
