Chapter 10: I Need You~

~~Chapter 10~~~

           "What?! Chanyeol is already here? But there were still 30 minutes left before 7:00" Mi Yeon's eyes wided in surprise when she heard Chanyeol's voice coming from downstairs.

      "Oh ! Chanyeol , you're here !" Her mom said as he saw Chanyeol. "Wow , you look so handsome!" she added.

 Chanyeol was wearing a tux with his hair swept back. 

        "Good evening, Mrs. Kim" Chanyeol bowed at her and greeted.

       "Aiyoo, just call me auntie.. Come in"  She smiled and let Chanyeol in.

 Chanyeol sat in the couch with all his manners.

     "I'll just call her, hm?" Mrs. Kim told him and sprinted to Hyo Jin's room.

Once she was already at the front of the door , she held the knob and twisted it then came in.

"What is taking you so long dear?"  Her mom asked her.

"I'm having a second thought.. Mom.." She said then let out a big sigh as she took a seat on her bed.

"Why?" Her mom came near and sat beside her.

"That go out  thingy.. It's giving me headache." She cooed and pulled her blanket and use this to cover her face.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" asked her mom as she triedto remove the blanket covering her face.

"Well.. He told me that the place were going to is his friend's birthday party.. And that I need to wear a formal dress.. but I dont want to.. But If I didn't , Im afraid I'll be like the best clown in that party for having the most disgusting clothes ever." She pouted.

"Well. That's the reason why you have that elegant dress.. Just wear it and you'll be fine, I swear." Her mother made her face her and held her shoulders.

   Hyo Jin tilt her head up and looked at her mother.. "Now go downstairs, your date is waiting for you." Mrs. Kim patted her arms..

            "Take home sweet memories with you, okay" 

Hyo Jin shot her mom a cold look.

            "Just kidding dear" Her mom giggled.

 Hyo Jin slowly went downstairs with her elegant and fabulous blue dress. Chanyeol was there just staring at his wrist watch.. Accidentally, he turned his head on his left side and saw Hyo Jin..

      "woah-- You look so beautiful.." He said and stood to come near her. He lend his hand to her and Hyo Jin held it. "Shall we go now?" He smiled to her with his ever adorable killer smile.

      They went outside and Chanyeol opened the door of his car for her and let her in. Then he sat on the driver's seat and started the engine. Silence were occupying and can nearly broke their eardrums so Chanyeol tried to broke it by starting a conversation..

"So.. Hyo Jin, how are you today?" He asked.

"Fine." she replied shortly and pinned her earphones on her ear.

"Ahh.. Is that so.." He just nod his head in embarassment.

          The car stopped as soon as they reached his bestfriend's house.

Hyo Jin was feeling butterflies in her stomach and was hesitating if she'll be attending Chanyeol's friend's birthday party cause She knew that there will be a lot of people partying inside since she's afraid of noise and the crowd. Because she never came out and was all alone in her rooms for days after the accident.. Probably trauma hit her after the accident when she's being all bashed, teased and pitied by the students in her school for that accident.. After that, she never go out in her room and probaly find it comfortable when she was all alone.

"C-Chanyeol.." she muttered and ducked down her head.

"Why? Is there something wrong?" Chanyeol asked, worried.

"Well.. I-I'm scared.." She continued.

       Chanyeol noticed her feeling uncomfortable so he reached for her hand and place it on his arms.. "You'll be fine, I'm here.." He cupped her cheeks.. And Hyo Jin smiled at him..

"This is the first time after the accident , I felt someone protecting me again.. and it's not him but rather this guy who just took my hand and let me feel protected n his arms...Suho oppa told me that whenever  you lend your hand to someone, that also means that you're entrusting your life to that person.. Today, I'm trusting my whole life to this person.." She thought to herself as he was looking at him.

           "Kaja, they must be waiting for us.." Then they went out of the car, with Hyo Jin's hand in Chanyeol's arms. 

Hyo Jin stopped when they were about to enter.. Chanyeol looked at her and saw her worried..

            "Don't worry, you have me here. There's no reason for you to feel fear." Chanyeol leaned closer to her and murmured.

Hyo Jin smiled at him..

"I don't understand this feeling.. This scene makes my heart flutter..again.. I shouldn't be falling for him, right? But this heart, it's feeling something weird.. It's that kind of experience where you feel like your frozen heart was being melted by the one who let me feel protected.." She whispered in her thoughts. 

Hyo Jin nod her head and they entered his bestfriend's house.

            A huge crowd was already there partying.. Hyo Jin ducked down her head, and felt uncomfortable. Chanyeol noticed her and tilted her head up. "You have me, Don't be scared. Trust me" He said.

"I trust you.." She murmured in her thoughts and held Chanyeol even tighter.
