Part - 13

Soon after Rishab left, manik got a call frm cabir, who said that they hv to talk something serious & hence called manik for a video call. And five mins latr manik was sitting on the couch with his phone in his hand, connected on a video conversation. Nandini too was sitting next to him but out of the camera's range. Manik saw all of them sitting at Dhruv's place, staring at the laptop screen. But their first question was totally unexpected,
Aliya: manik where r u?? it doesn't seem to be the hospital...
Manik: yes aliya becoz its not the hospital...
Aliya: then where r u???
Manik slowly moved closer to nandini, getting her in the camera's frame & said,
Manik: I m at nandini's place...
Cabir didn't want nandini to again run away, due to some silly comments by all his friends, so to stop all of them to make any comments he said,
Cabir: ohh thank god..... u scared us, we thought u ran away frm the hospital as well.
Manik: shut up cabir.....
Nandini: hello everyone.... I really wanted to apologize for suddenly going away that day, actually I had some work...
Mukti: common nandini.... U don't need to be formal.
And that very moment kavya & sameer again interrupted in between.
Aliya: u both go in na, we need to talk to chachu....
Kavya totally ignored aliya's words n said,
Kavya: hello manik chachu....
Manik: hello my baby...
Sameer: chachu come fast.... I want to complain about mumma...
Kavya: yes chachu me too...
All the others laughed at it & manik said,
Manik: oh... ohk I'll be back soon n then scold ur mothers for all ur complains...
Nandini smiled at them n said,
Nandini: kavya, sameer.... R u angry with me..... won't u talk to ur CHACHI...
Listening to this every1 except manik was left in a shock.
Kavya & sameer: off course we will...
But before they could, aliya sent the 2 kids away. As both of them left manik said,
Manik: guys don't give such shocked expressions yr..... u all knw mw , I do what I wish to..... then how could nandini be saved frm me....
And as he said this all of their happiness was seriously out of bonds...
Cabir: so finally nandini u understood.... Thank god, now finally we'll be able to get our old manik back...
Mukti: haan yr, pata nhi kya ho gya tha ise.... Ab jaldi wapas aa jao aur shaadi kar lo isse..
As mukti said this, nandini's face turned tomato red..... she was blushing so hard. Manik noticed it & was not able to take his eyes off her face. Navya too noticed nandini's blush n said,
Navya: shaadi ka sunn kar hi itna blush kar rhi h..... God only knows jab hogi toh kya hoga....
With this they all started pulling nandini's leg then after a few mins manik asked,
Manik: Cabir u said there is something serious, kya hua??
Cabir: ohh yes..... manik actually I don't knw how the media got to knw that u r in Australia. We tried to manage it but couldn't..... u r all alone there n they r planning to get u, how will u manage.
Manik: don't worry guys, I knw how to handle this media...... and now I will be staying at nandini's place & not the hospital, so they will not be able to get me..... and moreover we r going to London in 2 or 3 days...
All the others heard this n said, "LONDON!!!"
Manik: yes actually nandini's family lives there, so we decided to go n see them as soon as my doctor, i.e., Dr. Nandini Moorthy permits me to travel.
All the others laughed at it & nandini slightly punched manik. They talked for a few more mins & then disconnected the call. Nandini got up & went towards the kitchen. A minute latr she returned & said,
Nandini: manik, its time for ur medicines...
She took a glass of water with the medicines towards him. Manik saw that & said,
Manik: nandini plzz not today, I seriously hate those medicines.
Nandini: manik!! You knw that I m not leaving u like this..... plz hv it fast, I hv to go to the hospital also.
Manik: u keep them n go, I'll hv it latr.
Nandini: no manik..... plzzz( she madea puppy face towards him )
Manik immediately took the medicines & had them. Sfter that nandini gave him the necessary things & soon left for the hospital. Nandini reached at work at around 6 p.m & decided to leave for home at 9. But due to some pending reports to be made, she got late. It was around 11 in the night when she left for home. She thought manik would be sleeping so she slowly opened the door & entered.... Due to a long & tiring day she sat on the couch in the living room & resting her back she closed her eyes. Just a minute latr she felt some1's hand on her head, to give her a head massage. She immediately opened her eyes got up & said,
Nandini: manik!! Tum soye nhi abhi tak?? Sorry I had some work so I bcam late...
Manik: ( he made her sit again n started giving her a head massage) you don't hv to be sorry.... I understand. And I had slept all evening so I got up just now.
Nandini: ohh I disturbed u!!!
Manik: no... u didn't, I was already up..
Nandini: achcha.... Tumne kuch khaya??? I had kept some food for u... I told u na
Manik: but I wasn't hungry...
Nandini: manik!! U knw na u need food for energy... y don't u ever listen to me....
She got up & prepared for dinner. After that they both fed each other & she gave him his medicines. Then nandini got into the washroom to freshen up, as she got out she saw manik adjusting his pillow on the couch. She went closer to him & asked,
Nandini: manik what r u doing???
Manik: nothing, just getting ready to sleep.
Nandini: manik.... Stop all this, u r not in a condition to sleep on the couch, just come n sleep on the bed.
Manik: no nandini I m fine.... & moreover I can't let u sleep on the couch..
Nandini: ohh hello, who said I m sleeping on the couch..... I hv had a long day & I m tired, u will hv to adjust with me on the bed......
Manik stared her with a shocked expression as she arranged 2 pillows on the bed. He smiled at her way, & sat on one side of the bed. He saw nandini again praying to ayiappa & noticed her lips move for taking his name for a couple of times. Soon she too lied down next to him on the bed & said,
Nandini: manik if u need anything during the night, then just wake me up ohk...
Manik: hmnn...
Nandini: good night.
Manik: gud night.
Nandini closed her eyes, n was sleeping facing him. Her hairs were coming on her face. Manik slowly touched her face & tucked them behind her , giving her shivers in her entire body. She slowly opened her eyes. Manik went closer to her & kissed her cheek. Nandini too kissed manik on his forehead & with this manik came onto her. He kissed her cheeks, her eyes, her nose, her forehead & then slowly he removed her top from her shoulder & kissed her there. Nandini had been waiting for this moment since years..... but she didn't thought it would happen this way. Manik understood that nandini was uncomfortable & slowly got off her. He hugged her & wrapped his arms all around her. And they slept hugging each other. That night manik got a proper sleep after years, he had his love wrapped in his arms & nothing else could hv given him so much pleasure.
The next mrng nandini got up at 7 am, but she wasn't able to leave but she wasn't able to leave the bed bcoz of manik's strong grip around her. Nandini kept her hand on manik's shoulder n shaked him a bit saying,
Nandini: get up manik...
Manik: let me sleep some more nandini!! ( he tightened his grip around her even more).
Nandini knew that he wont get up like that so she thought of another idea to wake himup. She slowly moved her head closer to his n started kissing his face, she kissed his entire face & then slowly moved towards his lips, manik who was enjoying & feeling her kisses till now, got excited as he thought that nandini was going to kiss him. As nandini's lips were millimeters away frm his, he loosened his grip around her back n got his hands near her face but before he could do anything nandini got down the bed & started laughing. Manik opened his eyes n said,
Manik:nandini yr...... what was that???
Nandini: u weren't leaving me n I was getting late for work, so I did what I felt was right....
Manik: right??? Really... I'll tell u what is right.
Saying this he held nandini's hand & pulled her on the bed.... Within a second he was on top of her... nandini's heart beat fastened.... There was no air between the 2 of them. Manik slowly got more closer to her lips.... He was about to kiss her but before he could do anything, nandini took her hands to the back of his head & pulled him closer.... The next second manik realized that nandini was actually kissing him passionately.... He was totally shocked but then he too joined her. They both kissed each other untill they were out of breadth.... Just then nandini got up & closed the washroom door behind her back leaving manik alone in the room. Nandini got ready n was preparing breakfast 4 manik when manik went towards her & said,
Manik: nandini...
Nandini: (without even turning towards him) yes manik.... Do u want anythhing??
Manik: nandini u didn't need to do it... I mean I m f9 if u r uncomfortable with this.... I understand & I don't need such things if I hv u..... I was just teasing u....
Nandini turned towards him n held his hands...
Nandini: manik u don't need to say anything bcoz I knw it was not u who needed it but I did.....& if u think that I was uncomfortable, then u r wrong bcoz with u I m always comfortable..... I trust u more than u can ever think... so stop worrying about all this n lets hv breakfast. Manik smiled at her & they both had their breakfast. While eating manik said,
Manik: nandini I feel we should book tommorow morning's tickets to London....whats say??
Nandini: no manik.... How can u travel so soon..
Manik: nandini.... I m totally f9 & albert too said that I can go now.... & moreover I m not going alone, I m hving my doctor along na, so there shouldn't be any problem I guess..
Nandini: manik!! We can wait 4 a few days na... why r u so eager to go??
Manik: coz I wanna go there, impress ur amms & make u mine... 4ever... the sooner we go there, the sooner I get to marry u..
Nandini was shocked to hear this.... She knew manik wanted to see her family but she had no idea that he wanted to marry her so soon..
Nandini: marry me??? Manik don't u think its too early 4 us to get married.
Manik: no not at all, see all our frndzz they too r married n are really happy... and were 8 yrs not enough... I m 28,u r 25, this is the perfect age...
Nandini: but manik.... Marriage is a big decision I wanna think about it for sometime.....
Manik cupped her face in his hands & slowly said,
Manik: u do whatever u wish to..... u want time,ok agreed.... I can wait for u for as much time as u want... I m not saying to marry me today or tomorrow. I just want to talk to ur family about this that's all..
Nandini: but manik we'll tell them latr na... why now??
Manik: bcoz they hv selected another guy 4 u n r waiting to get a chance to tell u...( manik said normally...)
Nandini: what??
Manik: yes, Rishab told me about it.... In fact Rishab was here to talk 2 u, but seeing me he stoped.
Nandini: but how can they do so... I mean without even asking me how can they select some1.
Manik: nandini.... They r ur parents... they care 4 u, n its their right as well as duty to do it...
Nandini immediately took her phone out & called some1. And manik heard her saying,
Nandini: two tickets to London, tomorrow mrng.
Soon nandini left 4 work.... After a few hrs nandini entered albert's cabin.
Albert: hello, nandini....
Nandini: hello,Dr...... actually Dr. I wanted leave for a few days.... I m going to London with Manik to meet my family.
Albert: ohh that's gr8..... off course u should go & don't worry about ur leave I'll manage it.
Manik: thank u Dr..... thank u very much... so I'll hand over all the reports to u before leaving for home today.
Albert: ya sure....
Albert noticed that nandini was lost somewhere in her own different thoughts, so he asked her.
Albert: nandini.... If u want u can share ur feelings with ur frnd n not ur senior.
Nandini: no no it's nothing albert...
Albert: nandini!!!
Nandini: actually manik wants to go n meet my family & ask them if he could marry me..... & I feel it's too early 4 me to get married. I knw he loves me very much & I will be happy with him but getting married now...
Albert: look nandini.... I hv seen how much that guy loves u & u too love him, so then whats the problem.... I mean if u knw that someday or the other u hv to marry him only then why not that day come soon...... It will only get u guys more closer... I knw it's a big decision.... I hv seen how happy u r when he is around, so think how beautiful life will bcom once u hv him always with u.....
Nandini smiled at that thought & hugged albert saying,
Nandini: thank u.... thank u very much albert.... I can't tell u how much u hv helped me today.... Thank u...
Albert: u r most welcomed
