Unexpected Love (on Hold)

Chapter 4

Marley's POV

We got the tickets and headed towards Starship. The anticipation for the ride was building up and I had butterflies in my stomach. I started squealing as we got to the gate for us to enter. Louis looked over at me and grinned and looked at me like I was crazy. Just as I started mentally face palming myself he gave me a wink and started jumping up and down. I started to laugh. The guy at the entrance gate rolled his eyes and told us to take our shoes off. We slipped them off and moved up the gate and handed the sullen gate guy our tickets and walked up the stairs into the Starship. We walked in and found two seats/wall cushions and leaned against them.

I was going to burst from the excitement and the built up adrenaline. Louis looked a little nervous but he just leaned back and smiled. The door closed and the sullen gate guy got in the middle of the Starship at the controls. The automated recording on safety started to play and before I knew it music was playing. The beat was some electro-dance song that I didn't know. The Starship slowly started to spin and I was really getting nervous. Finally it started spinning fast enough that the seats moved up the wall, at that moment I let out my scream. The Starship was spinning so fast that my head was pinned to the wall so I couldn't turn my head, but I could see from the corner of my eye that Louis was enjoying it. He reached for my hand and grasped it, a little shock went through my body but I disregarded it and blamed it on the ride. Louis started to scream, not a normal male scream but a high pitched girl scream. My screams turned into laughter and so did his. Our hands were clasped tightly when finally the ride started to slow down and come to an eventual stop. Our seats hit the ground hard and a shock went up my legs. We still held hands and walked wobbly out of the ride. We grabbed our shoes and were walking towards the exit gate when I heard a girl whisper to her friend behind us,

"Is that Louis Tomlinson."

I looked back and saw the girl's friend nod her head yes. Uh oh this isn't going to go over well.

"Who the hell is that girl that he's with?" asked the friend

"Probably some charity case. She probably won some date with him. She's not even that pretty." the girl answered and snickered

My insides curled in. I felt like I had been punched in the gut. I was not a charity case. I mean I wasn't a knockout but I mean I had to be at least a little pretty. I went back into my memories.

When I had broken up with Jason he said that it would suck to be me. I wasn't pretty, no guy would ever like me, I was just a girl that could be easily used. I was vulnerable and wasn't even that special.

Tears brimmed my eyes with the old memory and the insults from the girls behind us. I let go of Louis hand and took a deep breath. This was the new me. This may have also been a little bit of my hot temper. I turned around to the girls that had insulted me.

"You know the ugly girl that you're talking about has ears right. She also has a name, and it's Marley. If you want to say something about who I'm hanging out with than say it to my face. You don't even know me ok! How would you like it if I came up to you guys when you're on your next date and make fun of you?" I screamed at them

Their faces dropped in shock from what I had done. I turned back to Louis and gripped his hand harder. I quickened my pace and Louis dragged behind me. He jogged forward and caught up with me.

"You know that was the bravest thing I have ever seen a girl do. You just told them off right there and then." He said.

"Thanks, I'm sorry their comments just got to me." I replied

"If it makes you feel any better love, I think that you are the most beautiful girl here. I'm a lucky guy for finding you." He said with a bright smile
