The summer of '85 was supposed to be a calm, mundane summer full of trips to the pool, movie nights, long drives down a forgotten road, and full of sweet summer romance for many people in Hawkins, Indiana. For the most part, it was just that, until the end of June blended into early July. It had been just shy seven months since Eleven and Nine had been adopted. Seven months since the crew of monster hunters lost more people, fought off the Mind Flayer and saved Will from an otherworldly virus. Seven months since Christine Hopper faced something in her nightmares she doesn't ever want to go back to; something worse than the Upside Down. She should all know by now, there's no rest for the wicked, and summer is coming to an end.
