The First Sign Of Love

I've been working on the Kira case for a good while now and so far I think we are getting close of finding out who "Kira" is. I have noticed something odd about light though. I mean, all he has been doing is either mumbling something to himself or starring at me like I am a piece of meat or something. I slowly look over at him and there he is, starring at me. I wave my hand in front of his face a little to see if that will snap him out of it. "light, you ok? you have been starring at me for the past 10 minutes." I ask him with a little bit of concern in my voice.

I see that he snapped out of it as he says back "yeah, i'm fine." he then turns back to his computer like nothing happened. I do,however,see a little bit of blush on his cheeks. knowing my curiousity, I gently rub my thumb over it, then jump back whenever he shoots me a look. " What are you doing,Ryuzaki?" he asks as I jumped back. I didn't really know what to say so I just shrugged. "you have blush on your cheeks. Why" I asked him looking back at him. I saw that the blush had gotten worse whenever I mentioned it.

 "I-It's nothing." he said as he turned away from me. I was hoping he would say what I already know instead of hiding like he is. I sigh a little then go back to work. I started to think to myself ' what if he really does like me like I think he does? it wouldn't be so bad I don't think. well, there is only one way to find out.' I take a deep beath then look back at the still blushing light. " Light?" I ask as I see him stop typing. " Do you...like me?" His face was now as red as a cherry then a falling faced me. "In what way?" he asked kind of getting used to the question I just asked him. "well uh...like...more than a friend.

" I could feel my cheeks heating up just waiting on the answer. He took a pause for a little then gently put a hand on my cheek. My eyes widen a little as he gets closer. " You mean,as a lover?" My cheeks are blood red now." Y-yeah, like a lover." He got even closer to my lips and I close my eyes a little. " Then my answer is yes." Right after he said that I felt his warm lips press against mine. They were soft and sweet like a cupcake. I slowly kissed back and feels his hands wrap around my waist bringing me closer as he deepens the kiss. He pulls back and says while looking into my eyes. " I love you,Ryuzaki." my cheeks turn a deep red then I smile a little. "I love you too,Light." Soon after that we go to our room for the night.
