An assignment at the DWMA

You had just got to this school, a meister looking for a weapon. You had never heard of this school and didn't know you were a mister till you parents got a letter from Lord Death, at this point you were already 18 and had a lot to learn.

"Hey hey! Good to see ya, I'm Lord Death and this is my Death Scythe, Spirit." Lord Deaths voice was strange and very happy, your grandfather told you Death was a scary man "Hi ______, I'm Spirit you'll be put in a class with my darling daughter Maka" He drifted off while you were just there confused 'He looks pretty young to have had an 18 year old child' you thought to yourself, Death gave Spirit a nudge and he popped back into reality "So ______, my son Death the Kid will be taking you to your class. OH! look that's him now Hi Ya Kid" Death pointed to his son who was behind you, he stopped and put his hand in his pockets and looked at you with piercing yellow eyes like he was judging you. Did you look funny? Were you slouching? You couldn't get it so you let it slide "This is ______ and she needs to be taken to her class, we will find a weapon for her later." Death said while his mask smiled "Her wave length is giving off a compatible frequency so she'll be fine, come follow me and don't get left behind" Death the Kid said. You quickly got behind him 'Compatible wave length? What does does that mean?' you thought you yourself "Thank you Lord Death" you said with a wave and a smile "Good luck" Lord Death said with a thumbs up.

"So would you like me to tell you all about the Death Weapon and Meister Academy, DWMA for short or did you read the letter carefully?" Death the Kid said in a slightly monotonic voice, like he was holding something back "Oh! Yes! Around 7 or 8 times so I know everything." You said nervously. He quickly did a 180 degree turn towards you and looked at you menacingly, you stared at him with slight fear. "Has anyone ever told you that you're perfectly symmetrical?" he was so close to your face he was almost kissing you, you backed away "Thank you? Why are you crying?" you slightly whispered, He backed away rubbing his eyes then going into a dramatic pose "You are purely symmetrical! Pure beauty!" Kid yelled very loudly 'Do all people act like this here? God do I have to sit beside this creep' You thought to yourself. Death the Kid continued down the hallway as you followed and you two finally got there. Death the Kid left you at the front of the class with a mysterious teacher with a scar going down his face and a screw in his head. "You're finally here, Kid your staying after class for the work you missed." He twisted the screw in his head 'Does it hurt?' You thought as he cranked it tighter then heard a loud click "This is _____ she's a new mister and is looking for a weapon if you know anyone tell me and I will tell Lord Death, tell us about yourself please." You looked a bit nervous "My name is _______, I love to draw and sing and Im super excited to be at this school" You lightly ruffled you short black hair and fixed your maroon skirt "Im super excited to be at this school and i know how a lot to learn but I- um" you started to get flustered 'Damn, not again not here' you thought panicking slightly "but I-I um" the whole class started to giggle but one girl with dirty blonde pigtails stood up and yelled "Are you all joking? She's telling us about her! Think about you in that situation would you want a whole class filled with no-" She was cut off by the teacher "Maka Albarn sit down, you to ______ there's a spot to the left of Soul over there beside Maka" He twisted his head screw again as you walked up to your seat "And by the way" he continued "I'm Professor Stein"

"Im sorry about that ______" Maka said as you slipped by her to go to your seat "Im Maka, Maka Albarn" she put out her hand to shake yours across Soul. You put out your hand and shook Maka's hand "I think I met your father, Spirit right?" You say with caution just incase you were wrong. Maka let go of your hand, then her face went from happy to grimace and put her head on the desk groaning loudly as Soul laughed "God, you met him?" Soul continued laughing then Maka hit him over the head with a book and said 'Maka Chop'. You were completely shocked 'Did she just hit him?! Oh my god!' you thought to yourself still with a shocked expression "Maka you scared the new girl good job" Soul yelled as he rubbed his head  "Maka, Soul, _____ are you listening?" All of you looked with a blank expression, Professor Stein continued "Here let me say it again, we were discussing the chance that you might get injured during battle which would mean one less mister and weapon pair and we need everyone in some battles so today we look at seeing who compatible with someone else" Professor Stein twisted his screw again.

"Professor Stein, this seems like like a dangerous task what if there's a bad reaction?" Maka said with a stubborn tone "Ha don't want to part from me" Soul said with a cocky tone and Maka gave him a death glare "That's why I'm picking your partners, Tsubki you're going to be with Maka, Black*Star you're by yourself" he continued to list off names "Thank god I'm not with Black*Star" Soul said relaxing in his chair. You didn't know if that was directed to you but you asked "What happened?" Soul looked at you smirked and continued "He tried to pick me up and it didn't work out so well, lets leave it at that" You were about to ask 'did you get hurt'  when Stein called your name "______ I wasn't expecting new students so you're with Soul for today, now this is a great skill to learn if I was stuck with a weapon I didn't really get along I would still have to match soul wave lengths this might get difficult but I think you'll all be able to pull it off, let's all head outside" Everyone started to leave the class in there new pairs and some looked very unhappy, especially Maka "Heh I guess Maka does like me as a weapon" Soul said to you "I bet it not that she doesn't like Tsubki it's that we've done so much for each other, I hope you can weld a Scythe _____" Soul smirked "Here let's go to this area" he grabbed your hand and pulled you to a nice wide open spot "You ready?" Soul asked with a smirk. You nodded your head in agreement and he turned into a Scythe just like that and it flew straight to you and you caught it no problem 'I really really hope I'm doing this right' you thought "Do you feel any pain?" Soul ask with a distorted sound because of the Scythe "No, you fit perfectly in my hands" You started to swing Soul around and using it like you had been Scythe master for years, Professor Stein quickly picked up on this

"So _____ you feel fine holding Soul?" He asked already knowing the answer "Yeah he's super light" You start moving him around again "Soul and _____, I want you to resonate" Soul quickly interjected "We can't resonate Professor Stein! I don't even think she knows what that is!" Soul yelled "I do know what it is and I'll try but it might not go so well" You said trailing off during that last bit. Soul then started screaming "Are you kidding me? You better have a good reason for this Professor Stein" "I want to test this out" Stein said adjusting his glasses, you nodded in agreement

"LET'S GO SOUL RESONANCE" You and Soul said at the same time and not Stein's surprise happened and you cut through a couple trees and Soul went back to human form. "No way did that happen?" Soul said with a surprised face and you had the same expression. Maka, Tsubki and Black*Star were there quickly "Did I just feel Witch Hunter? Did they actually resonate?" Maka said just surprised as you and Soul "At this age its not uncommon for you to have a soul that will match with more weapons then when you're younger but _____ here has a very interesting soul wave length try a figure it out Maka" Maka then closed her eyes and a couple seconds later she finally said something "She has a soul wave length that can match with anyone" 'So thats what Death the Kid meant  when he said my wave length was compatible' You thought to yourself "Lessons are over for today and I want all of you to get to know you partner better, hangout over the weekend, have a sleep over i don't care but be able to resonate by Monday" And with that people started to scatter this was going to be an interesting weekend.
