"So, you are all done!" The man said.

"Thank you! It will take me a few days to get used to." I laughed.

He nodded.

"I remember my first phone. Boy, was it difficult. It was a flip phone." Larry moaned.

I just shrugged. I hope I get the hang of it soon.

I opened the box and carefully took out my phone and was happier than a kid in a candy store!

Don't txt and Drive! The sticker on my phone said. I just peeled the sticker.

"Hey! That sticker is a very important message, Darryl!" A woman yelled across the phone store.

"Yeah daddy!" A little girl shouted.

I turned to see who it was.

It was Sophie, my beautiful wife and my baby daughter, Daniella. Sophie is the prettiest person I know. With her light brown hair and her beautiful ocean blue eyes. Daniella was just like Sophie. They were both beautiful and they both had personalities as awesome as they were. Daniella was 5 and Sophie was 27. I am 28.

I loved them with all my heart.

"Hey babe!" I responded

She kissed me on the lips. I kissed Daniella on the forehead.

"Daddy! I'm hungry!" Daniella cried.

I told them to get in the car so we can go to dinner.

"What kind of phone do you have now?" Sophie asked.

"An iPhone 5." I responded.

"Wow! How much was it?"

"It was 200$. Plus a plan. The man, Larry said he gave me a 50$ discount."

"Great deal!"

"Where do you want to go sweetheart?" I asked Daniella.

"McDonalds!" Daniella screamed.

"Okay. We will be there in a bit."

I got a text message. I went to check it. I started to text my boss back until...

"BABE LOOK OUT!" My wife shouted.

I jammed the breaks. A stupid truck got in the way.

I heard someone crying.

"Daniella? Oh my-" I said.

There was blood dripping from Daniella's nose.

"Here baby, wipe your nose and keep it there. Be sure to keep you head up. I am so sorry, baby! Are you okay?" I cried.

She said she was okay.

Two years later.

"BABE! HURRY! WE HAVE TO GO! YOU TOO DANNI! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE!" I screamed.

I was invited to a banquet all the way in a different city about 3 hours away.

The two girls were prettier than ever. I gave each a peck on the cheek.

Later on the highway...

New Message Arrived. My phone chirped. I got a new phone.

I reached for my phone.

"Babe," my wife said "Remember last time..."

I ignored her. I just said everything would be alright. I kissed her and Danni.

Boss: When are you coming?

Darryl: I am on the highway so I'll text you later.

New Message Arrived

The three words that haunted me for the rest of my life.

"BABE! AAAHHHH-" She yelled.

We crashed.

"Babe... babe?" I coughed.

I saw a body.

I got closer

And closer

And even closer...

And I saw that it was her.

"BABE!! NO!!" I screamed.

No pulse

No heart beat

No breathing

But there was one thing

Blood.

"DENNI?! DENNI WHERE ARE YOU?!?" I shouted.

I called 911.

"Daddy..." I heard a voice call.

Denni.

"Baby!"

I crawled as fast as I could.

I held her in my arms.

And she whispered to me these words I could never forget.

"I love you, daddy. And I forgive you."

No. Not Denni too.

I started to cry.

She died in my arms.

My baby.

My love.

My life.

And I killed them...

"911 what's your emergency?"

"My b-baby. My wif-fe. Go-one! Because of me! Lock me up and throw away the key!" I screamed into the phone.

"Sir, calm down. Please tell me what happened."

And I did.

15 minutes later, a helicopter came. Turns out, I killed another person from another family.

Throw away the key...
