The first time, October 1 to be exact, I wake up at 2 a.m. with a tingling in my head like tiny fireflies dancing behind my eyes.

I smelt smoke and knew that today I would finally see my first human.

Everyone has seen a Human, but me, what with being locked up in this "safe house" I don't see much of anything.

I was a special case, only because I am the first Universal Angel to have come for years.

I was a mistake. No one this young, at 17 years old, has ever been a Universal angel but I changed all of that.

Every Angel is in a division. There are four. The timekeepers, the guardians, the naturalists, and the lovebeings.

Each division has special abilities that the others don't have, but me, I have all of them and more.

The Leaders of each group have been fighting over me for centuries and when they pass away new ones come and also fight, and me, I'm immortal. They are afraid of me, think I can take over all of Monthallieum. But I know I am no danger, and I can't do what they think I can do, after all I don't have the normal training that all the other angels have.

I open my eyes and look around my bed room for any signs of fire. I crawl out of bed and go downstairs and the smell becomes stronger.

But no. No fire. Everything's fine, everybody sleeping, tranquil.

It's more of a campfire smoke anyway, sharp and woodsy. I add it to the list of usual weirdness that is my life.

Having the visions of a timekeeper, I realized that the smell of a campfire smoke means that I will soon meet a human, and maybe we will even become....... Mates or friends?

Impossible! Humans and Angels have never gotten along, their kind know nothing of us. Only stupid myths with no real facts whatsoever. I would never be friends with a human, but maybe that would be my only chance at living a real life....

I grab a glass and fill it with water, gulping it down quickly. Sensing an intruder, I spin around quickly and release my wings from their holder in my leather jacket and my eyes turn a bright red. Sometimes the guardian in me scares even myself.

I looked all around the room looking for the rebel, no one was aloud in here past visiting hours. One of the restrictions that comes with being Universal.

I bared my teeth and spit poison out of my mouth, knowing the poison would track down the intruder and knock him or her out.

When I heard the familiar sound of a body hitting the the hard, wooden floor I ran to the victim. It was a boy, a human boy. A real live, we'll maybe now not so alive, human boy.

I stared at him in awe. Never have I seen such a magnificent creature. I bent down and ran my fingers through his chocolate brown curls, so soft almost as soft as our wings which is a pretty big deal.

And his lips, oh they were wonderful! I ran a finger over his lips softly and gasped at their softness. This was amazing, if only he weren't human...

I slowly lent down a pressed my lips softly to his rough but at the same time soft, plump, pink lips.

"Ahhhhhh!!" The boy screamed, during the quick moment that I pressed my lips to his.

I jumped up and touched my hand to my lips and kept them there. What had I done, I just kissed a human boy. I looked back at the boy, who stared back at me his deep sea green eyes staring into my own light purple ones.

"Wh-where am I, who are you, why did you kiss me?!?!?" The curl haired boy screamed at me looking truly confused.

"I'm Amethia Callington and you're on Monthallieum the cloud of Angels."
