"OMG Kylie, I can't believe it!" Melanie says for the billionth time in what... 10 minutes.
"I swear Mel, if you don't tell me what you have been ranting on about... I'll throw my brother's dirty sock at your face!" I yell, in not a very loud voice.
"Ok, ok, Jeez, someone's ass is on fire!"
I chuckle at Mel's stupid comment, she is one heck of a girl.
"OMG, I can't believe that we are finally going to be sophomores this year. We have school tomorrow, can you believe how fast the holidays went?" Mel squeals excitedly.
Personally, it's not that big of a deal for me, it's just another year at Glenford High.
"So...." I state monotonously, expecting a sudden reply.
"So let's go shopping!"
"Oh no, not again Mel!" I plead, hoping that she will agree with me.
You're probably thinking 'what on earth, she's a girl, why doesn't she want to go shopping?' Well, it's simple; Mel forcefully takes me shopping every time we start a new term and in this case a new year. Usually, we end up buying nothing but food and it's a waste of time.
"Oh c'mon Kylie, please, I promise that this time we will buy a lot of things and most of them for you because boy, you ain't got good clothes!"
"Ouch" I say putting my hand over my heart.
"I'll see you in 10!" Mel squeals and runs off.
Well, well, since I have no right to make an opinion, I grab my bag from my closet and stuff in some cash and my phone, and I head downstairs.
"Bye mom, I'm going shopping with Mel"
"Bye sweetheart, dinner's at 6!" my mom replies back.
I head out the door and see Mel already standing by her car, was that even 10 minutes or was she just standing in my kitchen stuffing her face with my brownies. Probably the brownies, I think to myself.

And here we are at the mall staring at hot guys pass by.
"Mel!" I say.
"Mel!" I say a little loudly this time.
"Uh, uh, uhm yeah?" she snaps back into reality.
"Aren't we meant to be shopping for me instead of looking at guys?" I ask sarcastically.
"Oh yeah, let's go!" she says as if she totally forgot why we came here in the first place.
We headed of to our favourite store first 'Forever 21'.
We buy a ton of clothes from there, most of them are for me and some are for Melanie.
We continued shopping the whole day, we bought so many things, I think we spent a few hundred dollars. Sorry mum!
After an hour of convincing, Mel finally let me go to the food court to grab us some food, she's so stubborn; she didn't even come with me, she told me to get the food myself.
I bought both of us a drink from Starbucks and headed back to the store, it was like an adventure trying to find her, she was all over the place. I eventually found her and when I did, the sight wasn't good. She was holding a shit ton of clothes in her hands for me to try on.
"Oh no way I am trying that on" I try to sound ordering but it almost sounds like a beg.
"Oh yes you are, now get inside before I beat that sorry ass up" Mel orders.
