Year One - The Youngest Son

Dear Diary,

I can't BELIEVE Mum got me this dumb thing. I mean, I'm a guy. What am I going to write in a diary? But Mum said if I didn't write in here that she'd leave me home when we all go to the platform. And no way I'm missing out on going to Hogwarts. I can't wait. Though, I do wish I could've gotten a new wand. Why do I have to have Bill's wand? I mean, even Fred and George got new wands when they started Hogwarts two years ago! But I guess that's one of the perks of being the sixth son in your family. That's right, I've got five brothers. How unfair is that? Oh, and I've also got a little sister named Ginny. She's a bit annoying sometimes, always going on and on about Harry Potter. 

Not that I don't like Harry Potter, of course. I'd love to meet him in person. Mum and Dad say that he's also starting at Hogwarts this year. He'd probably never want to be my friend, though. He's so famous that he probably has a lot of high-up friends. A boy can dream, can't he?

Anyways, Mum is calling me down for dinner. I should go before she starts yelling at me. But I'm so excited for Hogwarts! I'll write some more when we get there.
