The bell rang for break.
He was nervous.
It was that time of the day where he could see her again. Finally.
Mingyu got up from his seat and made his way towards the rooftop. He walked with large steps, eager to get to his destination as soon as possible. He didn't forget to bring something to drink too. It helped as it wouldn't make him look too awkward around her.
He felt his heart racing as he reached for the doorknob and held his breathe as he opened the door. At that moment, Mingyu wished that he never ever would have to return to class.
She was the only one he ever wanted to pay attention to.
Her attention was fully drawn to the book she was reading. Mingyu took a seat against the wall that faced her and would occasionally peak at her beautiful features. Wind had caused her hair to block her view from her book and for the first time in a week, her eyes made contact with Mingyu's.
Mingyu glanced away almost immediately. He could feel his face heating up. She was too cute. He took a sip of his drink, sneaking another peak at her. Mingyu froze and his eyes widened. This time
-her attention was on him.
Nervous and uncertain on what to do, Mingyu got up and walked towards the door. "But, what if I don't get a chance to speak to her ever again?", his thoughts wondered and with that he turned around and began to approach her instead.
Mingyu couldn't stop himself from stuttering. Her eyes were staring right at him. He could feel his immediate attraction towards her and for some strange reason he felt that she might be feeling the same way too.
"h-hey", Mingyu muttered.
"hello", He felt his heart skip a beat.
"do y-you come up here often?"
"Um...I found this place sometime last week and it was pretty peaceful so I've been coming here everyday since then".
It wasn't news to Mingyu, but he did what he could to keep the conversation going.
"What about you?", she added.
"I come here o-often... e-everyday actually", Mingyu stopped breathing when he heard her giggle.
"Why are you stuttering so much? You're so cute". Mingyu wanted to jump off the building. Him? Cute?....he could accept that since it was coming from her.
The bell rang again, signalling that classes had begun.
She got up, dusted the dirt off her skirt and headed towards the door back to class. Just as Mingyu was about to say something, she turned around.
"See you tomorrow!" and disappeared behind the door. He couldn't help but smile.Days turned into weeks and later into months. Mingyu fell for her even more as the days passed. He was comfortable around her and so was she around him. It was then on his 18th birthday a month ago when he received a kiss on the cheek from her and his feelings immediately reached its peak.
