Screams. That was all Shelly herd besides her own heart beat.
Shelly was 15, but even so very intelligent and mature for her age.
She was short and a little chunky but still pretty, with a little past
shoulder length white-blond hair and deep brown eyes.
She was running through a forest, a black forest. She did not know how
she had come there but at the moment all she wanted was out. Those
horrible things back there had not taken much interest in her, but
even if they had it would not have altered her reaction. Just seeing
their dark shape and hearing the screams of their victims was enough
to make a sane man mad with fear. She thought they were right behind
her, but in fact they had let her go...this time, knowing that she
could not possibly escape the forest and they would simply have her
some other time.
The forest seemed to never end. But as her eyes adjusted to the
darkness, she saw up ahead a clearing. A small clearing, but a
clearing it was. Just big enough to fit a small house. Strangely the
lights were on in the house. Maybe it was the effect of the forest on
her, but weather it was or not, she knew that those things did not
like the light at all. So she ran to the house, threw open the door
and slammed it behind her putting her back against it.
As she stood against the door trying to catch her breath, here eyes
adjusted to the light and she looked about the room. The first thing
she noticed was that the room was completely empty sept for an old
fire place and a chair. In the chair sat an young woman. This startled
Shelly at first but the woman looked so calm and friendly that she
herself began to feel calmer and less frightened. The woman, thought
only 21, looked wise for her age, and seemed like she had been
expecting Shelly. The woman rose from her chair and walked up to
Shelly extending her hand in a friendly manner.
"My name is Linda Pyndale" said the woman.
"I'm Shelly. Shelly Nelson." said Shelly.
"I would love to get to know you more, but right now I am afraid there
is not much time. You must come with me if you want to survive"
Linda was tall with long black hair. She was also very thin. But there
was an air of sweetness about her that made Shelly trust her.
Shelly started to open her mouth to say something in reply, but Linda
took hold of Shelly's hand and began to run toward an open door at the
end of the room. Linda led her through the door into a short hall way.
Before Shelly knew what was happening she was going through another
door into a bathroom. The bathroom was very strange indeed. The
counter was very high and the two middle cabinet doors went from the
floor to right bellow the counter top. Linda went up to one of these
tall cabinet doors and opened it. Shelly walked up right behind her so
that she could see what Linda was doing. Linda was opening a trap door
in the floor of the cabinet!
"Get in, quickly" said Linda.
Now you might think that Shelly would be stupid to go any farther
with Linda with out proof that she was not taking Shelly to her death.
But think again, for as I said Shelly was a smart girl for her age.
She knew that she had only two options, number one follow the
seemingly nice and friendly Linda, or two go back into the damp black
forest and try to run from those things that she could not even see
that well. Shelly, doing what most of us probably would have, decided
on option number one.
As Shelly stuck her head into the cabinet one of the first things she
noticed was that that part of the cabinet was boxed off from the rest
of the cabinet. The other thing was that the cabinet was empty. At a
first glance you would think that it was full of the stuff you would
expect to find in a bathroom cabinet, toilet paper, shampoo,
conditioner, hand sanitizer, bars of soap, shaving cream, etc. but in
reality the walls were only panted to look like it was full of these
things.
After a second or two Shelly realized that Linda meant for her to go
down in to the hole. Linda, seeing Shelly’s worried expression said
"Don't worry"
and turned on the flash light she had been holding.
At once the hole was flooded with light to revile a flight of stares.
As soon as she and Linda were in the cabinet stare way, Linda closed
the outer cabinet door and the trap door that led to the stares. Linda
tuned around and the two of them began to run down the stares. It was
a short flight of stares that led to a door. As soon as they were
through the door Linda tuned around a locked it. The two young people
stood there listing for a second. Shelly was sure that she herd
someone or something. Not in the bathroom, not in the house, but
outside the house. From the look on Linda's face anyone could tell
that she herd it too. As Shelly turned around all that was reveled to
her was that the flight of stares continued to another door. Once
thought it Linda did the same thing as before, shut and locked it.
Four more doors later Shelly found the same story sixth time, another
door but strangely no more stares. Shelly walked toward this door but
Linda grabbed her by the arm and said
"No! Don't go through there! Its a trap!"
Linda explained latter that if an unwanted visitor had come through
all of the previous doors, they would see this door and if
successfully unlocked it, would step through, to an a 100 foot drop!
If they survived this drop, witch was highly unlikely, they would
starve to death for there was no way out.
Linda walked over to the wall only to revile another secret door. This
door opened to revile a elevator. Once the two were inside Linda
closed the door and started the elevator. All of a sudden the elevator
stopped and opened to revile a huge room.
