There once was a wonderful ball,
Full of dancing and fun and all,
But it occured only once each fall!
So sweet little Betty, the blue-eyed girl
Decided to give the dance scene a whirl
So in a new dress with hair a curl'd
She asked Archie to go with her!
Well Archie of course was blinded by Betty's looks,
His speach was garbled, he looked like a kook,
He shook his head yes and he shook and he shook!
Betty was pleased and began to brag,
"Look at the gorgeous guy I snagged!"
When Veronica heard her shoulders sagged,
"What will I do with my Dance dress and bag?"
Betty had finally won Archie over!
He was surely hers till next October!
She was happier than a dog named Rover!
