It turned out that Ashley ended up spending most of her days with The Monkees. They would often spend most days on the beach, go for drives out and play music. The more time they spent together, the more their friendship grew. Especially between Ashley and Micky!
Micky liked to take Ashley down to his favourite spot on the beach. It wasn't far from the house, but it also felt secluded. They often liked to go and watch the sun set. There were times when they would talk, other times to just sit in silence.
Ashley loved these moments. She had grown very fond of the four boys. And, each day she felt more and more happier.
One evening, her and Micky were sitting and listening to some songs on the small portable radio that Ashley had brought. The radio was playing some of the latest pop songs. Ashley turned to see Micky scribbling away in his small notebook. He seemed to do a lot of writing here. Ashley dipped her hand into the cool sand, closed her eyes and listened to the sound of the sea.
Micky glanced up from his writing and smiled. Ashley looked so pretty lying there. He reached for his camera. He couldn't help taking a photo.
"Isn't that the one hundredth photo you've taken?" Ashley teased, her eyes closed.
Micky grinned. He put his camera and notepad away and wrapped his arms around his legs, rested his chin on his knees and stared across the sea.
He felt happy.
Micky headed back to the house alone later, as Ashley had to head on home. She was sorry she had to miss the boys, but she knew if she went back to the house, she'd end up spending the rest of the evening there!
Micky opened the back door and barely set a foot in when Peter jumped in front of him!
"We've got a job!"
