When we arrived to The Dingo we sat at the table. The waitress came and like always she is trying to get Soda's attention. I just sat there and didn't say anything. Soda deserve a girl that treats him good unlike Sandy who goes and sleeps with other guys and then gets pregnant by them. Anyways Soda didn't seem interested in her. He just looked at her and laughed. Then he put his arm around me. I guess he doesn't want a girlfriend right now. I think the waitress thought that we were dating so she said "Sorry" and took our order. Soda laughed. We got our food.
As we were eating I heard a voice saying "Sodapop Curtis! What do you think your doing?!" It was Sandy's. "Sandy. Its over. I can't have a girlfriend who is pregnant with another man's baby and I thought you left." Soda said as I kept quite. "Edith I thought we were friends and I'm leaving tomorrow at 6am." "We were friends until you left my best friend for another guy. And I would never be friends with you ever again!" "Your gonna pay for this!" Sandy said as she left. Honestly that actually scared me because I know Sandy and she can go crazy and hurt me. She might even kill me! Soda noticed that I got scared. "Hey, hey she ain't gonna do anything. I won't let her hurt you I promise." Soda said as he hugged me. I just stayed quiet and didn't say anything. We decided to go to the Ice Cream Parlor since we made a big scene at The Dingo.
Johnny's P.O.V
Edith left with Soda great. I looked outside and he was carrying her. I got jealous. "Pony can I talk to you?" I asked Pony. "Yeah sure let's go outside." We went outside. "Listen I need your help. I like Edith but I think her and Soda are dating. I don't know what to do." "Well Johnny look, Soda and Edith aren't dating. He tells me everything. And well talk to her about how you feel. And she likes you trust me. I know because Ariana told me." Pony told me and I smiled. "Thanks Pony and Let's go back inside." I said and we went. When Pony told me that Edith likes me I couldn't help but smile
Soda's P.O.V
Sandy is crazy! She is not going to harm my best friend. I can't believe she thinks that me and Edith are dating. Me and her are best friends. Sure she's pretty but I wouldn't date her. I'm going to wait on a perfect girl. I noticed that Edith got scared of Sandy's comment. Edith knows Sandy and she knows that Sandy is crazy when it comes up to her getting angry. I had to hug Edith. We went to the Ice Cream Parlor. Socs were there great. We went to go get what we want. I went to go get Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips and Edith got Vanilla with Chocolate Chips. We paid and sat down. That's when a soc came. "Hey baby why don't you leave this Greaser and come with me?" He said. "No thank you. I want to stay with my greaser. Why do you take your idiot self and leave?" Edith snapped at them. "But we will show you more fun then him." "I said no! Now leave me and my boyfriend alone. Why can't you get that through your stupid head of yours?" Edith said. "We will get you when your greaser boyfriend ain't around" he said. They left. "Aww I'm your boyfriend?" I teased Edith. She rolled her eyes and said "No I'm was trying to get them to leave. Your my best friend." I laughed and we left to the park. We are little kids when we go to the park. We always play on the playground and run around like little kids. "We should get going its 2:40." Edith told me. "Yeah let's go get the dress and heels first." I told her. "Right." She said.
We got to her house and she gave me some water and I waited down stairs while she got her make up and clothes. She was getting dressed at my house. She got down and we stayed there for a while, talked and then we left. "I got a good best friend and her name is Edith Mathews." I told her. She looked up and smiled. "I do too. His name is Sodapop Patrick Curtis." I smiled then picked her up. "Soda put me down!" She said. "Never!" I yelled back. She knew she wasn't gonna win so she just didn't say anything. We arrived to the house and I noticed Johnny's face. He looked jealous. I just smiled. I put her down and she went to help Darry with the food.
Edith's P.O.V
"Darry I'm back!" I yelled as I got to the kitchen. "Okay make your famous mash potatoes and gravy! Make cake also." Darry said as I laughed. "Okay." "Hey girly what you gonna cook." I asked Ariana. "He is making me do the stuffing and vegetables." Ariana said. "Sucks" "Yeah anyways how was your date with Soda?" "Ariana it wasn't a date. We decided to hang out." "Yeah sure. Thats not how Johnny saw it." She said smiling. "Wait what?" "Johnny got mad. Pony told me. You know he likes you. But he doesn't want to admit it." "No I never knew that. Well he shouldn't be getting mad its not me and him are dating." I told her "Who is dating?" Two-bit said as he came in. "Uh Pony and Ariana" "Nice going kid." He said as he messed up her hair. "Hey the hair!" She told Two-bit. He laughed. He got a beer and went back. Darry came back with the turkey and ham and other stuff. "Hey Darry are we going to make pie?" Ariana asked. "Yeah." He said with a smile. We made Turkey, Ham, stuffing, mash potatoes and gravy, banana cream pie, chocolate cake, vegetables, and we were drinking soda. We were exhausted.
By the time we finished all of us got ready. I went to go shower. When I got back from the shower I saw that Ariana had a white flowy, short dress with tan lacing on top with the cutest heels I ever seen. (Outfit on top) she had her hair curled. She put a white bandana on and make up. She looked beyond beautiful. Before I got dressed Soda came and gave me a hot pink bandana. I hugged him and I said "Thanks" he just smiled. I put on my dress and heels. I put the bandana on after I got dressed. Ariana and I went down stairs and all eyes were on us. Pony was staring at Ariana and Soda and Johnny were staring at me. "I think you want you close your mouth Pony." Dally said. "Same for you too." Two-bit said. We laughed and we sat down on the couch. Darry had a tux on, and all of they other boys were nicely dressed and their hair were nicely greased. They all looked cute. Sodapop was wearing a black and white flannel that I bought him for his birthday. He wore a white T-shirt underneath it. Ariana went with Pony. Soda came and sat down next to me. "You look amazing." He told me and I blushed. "Thanks. You look cute your self too. Especially cause I bought that shirt." I said and he smiled. Johnny came up to me and said "Edith you look beautiful." "Thanks Johnny." I said as I blushed. "You look cute Johnny." I told him and he blushed.
We sat down at the table and we started to eat. "Buck is having a New Years party if anyone wants to go. Its on New years eve!" Dally said. "Yeah that sounds great." All of us said. "This is some good food Darry." Steve said. "Well Ariana and Edith helped." Darry said. "Wow you guys do know how to cook." Two-bit said. Ariana and I said "Thank you" all of is finished eating and it was time for desert. "Alright guys here is Chocolate Cake and Banana Cream Pie." I said. "Wow they look good." Two-bit and Steve said. They all got some. I was full so I decided to do the dishes. "What are you doing there princess?" Darry asked. "Washing." "Don't worry I will do it in the morning." "You sure Darry?" "Yes I'm sure." "Okay"
When we finished eating we put music on and we made our own little party. We started to drink except Ariana, Pony, Johnny, and Soda. Like I said before Soda doesnt need any booze. We put some Elvis and we started to dance. There were some slow songs. Soda danced with Steve, Two-bit with Dally, Pony and Johnny, and Darry, Ariana and I just sat and laughed. We had a blast. Everyone was tired and we decided to go to sleep.
