"I saw you in the vlog." Beth whispered to me while our professor went on another one of his 'people of this generation' lectures. It was sort of ridiculous considering the little speech popped out of no relevance to our actual lesson. Prof. Martins probably thought that he was doing a duty for the whole human race for going on about us even though nobody seemed to be listening.
"Which vlog? I was hardly even in Alfie's vlog." I mumbled under my breath. After Beth showed me the video I really had the initial shock that nearly one million people were going to be seeing me act extremely awkward, and horribly shy. It wasn't who I really was!
"No, Marcus'. Bloody hell do you ever get around. People are going to start thinking you're a Youtuber tart or something.
"Oh god! Doesn't Marcus have even more subscribers than Alfie? Bullocks..." Thinking back to a couple nights before when we all had dinner it was really not the highlight of the night when they brought out cameras. Apparently they were all doing a vlog a day for a month challenge, and I happened to be involved in it. Like I had in Alfie's, my awkwardness was probably really evident in Marcus' vlog too.
"No, no. It's his second channel. He doesn't have nearly as many subscribers, but you were still in it for a little bit. God are you ever lucky. Please introduce me soon?" Beth groaned while casually flipping through her textbook to pretend like she was following along with the professor.
"Yeah, yeah, soon! But am I horrible again?" My forehead wrinkled from my worrying. Beth blinked her large blue eyes at me blankly. In an instant she pulled out her IPhone from her pocket and connected it to the headphones that dangled around my neck.
"Here." Beth handed the phone to me sneakily after typing in something on the Youtube search engine.
The video began with Marcus saying hello in a very long, exaggerates way that made me giggle a little bit. We hadn't seen each other since Friday, but he texted me on Saturday and that was pretty exciting. I was afraid to tell Beth because she would most likely become even grumpier about the situation than she already was. It was like a bomb went off after i told her that Caspar and Marcus were at dinner too. Beth seemed to be a huge fan of them too.
"This is a tad ace." I giggled as Marcus went on explaining what was going on in the day. He carried a camera with an outstrerched arm pointing it at himself, and then sometimes at Alfie and Caspar. Once they finished off their shopping trip that they were telling me about during dinner, I finally caught a glimpse of what was to come.
"So we're about to go to Nando's!" Marcus spoke to the camera enthusiatically, and then the clip cut off. Now it was some of the footage he had taped during dinner. He scanned across Alfie and Caspar then landed on me. I waved shyly while keeping one hand over my mouth to block my chewing. It was so bizarre to see myself on video...
"What do the comments say?" I hushed to Beth once the video ended. With my index finger I scrolled down to see all of the viewer comments underneath.
Even though most of them fell under the category of crazy fangirling like;
OMG Marcus is life!
Malfie for life<3
LOL WHEN CASPAR MADE THAT FACE!!!!!
The ones I noticed almost too clearly weren't as pleasing to see, well at least not for me. I knew I was in the video... but it was weird to have people actually commenting about me. Some of the ones that really got me were along the lines of;
Who is this chick?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
She better not be dating any of my husbands...
