Adam and I decided to head home after the party, feeling tired from dancing and all of the alcohol we consumed. We hopped in a limo that was waiting for us and drove back to my apartment. The paparazzi were waiting for us, as expected so Adam and I threw a blanket over our heads and ran towards the door. As much as I loved being Taylor swift, I didn't love having every part of my life exposed. We threw the blanket off and quickly walked to the elevator, escaping the hundreds of cameras pointed at us. I felt relieved to be back in my penthouse, where it was just Adam and I. He approached me from behind and placed his large hands on my hips.
"I had fun tonight, even if I didn't get to kiss you at midnight," he whispered in my ear.
"Me too," I replied, not wanting to talk anymore about that party.
"So do you want to go to sleep or maybe-"
"I'm really tired hon I think we should both rest," I said, cutting him off.
Too tired to even brush our teeth, we landed next to each other on my luxurious king-sized bed.
"Be right back, I have to go to the bathroom," I told him.
Subtly grabbing my phone from the dresser, I went into the bathroom. For some reason, I had remembered Harry's number, even though we had broken up forever ago. I started typing a message:
"Hey, about tonight, it was a total mistake on my part. I didn't know who you were, I was sad and probably had a bit too much to drink. Please just promise me you won't tell anyone Harry. It will be our secret." I took a deep breath but I just couldn't find it in me to send it. I was a coward in so many ways. I deleted the message hesitantly. I flushed the toilet since I had just "gone to the bathroom" and washed my hands. Adam was tired too, his eyelids were dropping as he sat leaned up against the wall waiting for me. I turned off the lights and crawled in next to him. He wrapped me in his arms and I felt so lucky, yet I regretted so much.
