Hi I'm Hetty, Hetty Feather don't mock it's not my real name, well not much about me was ever real I was sent to the foundling hospital after I had been christened, at the age of 4! Then I had a borrowed mother her name is madam' bout, my big brother's called Gem, and I can't forget my younger brother Gideon smeed. I had a fabulous life with them, when gem was chasing us through the fields when Gideon used to sing rhymes for mother, but thugs soon changed...
When I myself was 6 and Gideon was 5 we were sent back to the foundling hospital " please mother, please Gem, take me home!"
" this is where your mother left you, we brought you up and now you have to go back, this is where you belong." She said as a few tears rolled across her blushed cheeks.
But I knew this wasn't were I belonged, mother and Gem waved me goodbye. But I had to step on to the Surface and was taken to a tall lady by some of the guards. I tried to say goodbye but she pulled me by my dress and shut the door tight. She was showing me around the place and all I saw was hundreds of children working. She then said, " I am maytran bottomly and this is Cranbourne, Mr Cranbourne." He then pulled Gideon and Maytran pulled me!
"Hetty, Hetty" poor Gideon shouted
"No you can't take him away from me, no maytran please!"
Boys and girls live quite separately from each other!"
From then I knew I would never see him again.....
