The Girl He Knew Somewhere

Seventeen

Micky went back to the house. He stood in the living room, not bothering to turn on the lights. He felt angry! Angry that Ashley had to go! Angry that people could ruin other people's happiness! Angry that that kiss could have been the only kiss he'd ever share with Ashley!

That kiss.

Micky gave a sad smile. He didn't know what had come over him, but he just had to show Ashley just how much he cared about her! When she had stood up to go, he couldn't hold it anymore! He could feel the surprise she must have felt when his lips touched her's. But, when she wrapped her arms round his neck, he knew she was returning the feelings she obviously felt for him.

Now, the moment was over. She had gone. What if he didn't see her again? Micky decided that he would go over tomorrow. He remembered roughly where she lived.

Right now, Micky wanted to do something. He couldn't stand the silence! He wanted to kick something. Or even play the drums! But, that would only bring the landlord come storming over!

Instead, Micky walked over to the cupboard and took out a box. Inside, he had kept all sorts of things. Cuttings from magazines and newspapers of topics that interested him. And, there were photos in there too.

There were photographs of his parents, his sister, and other relatives. Other photos were of Davy, Peter and Mike. Some were just silly pictures of the boys sharing goofy moments together. Others were of them when they were performing. Micky smiled. He picked up the recent one that was taken off all of them.

However, tucked between Peter and Micky, was Ashley. In the photo, she was smiling from ear to ear.

Hard to think of what she must have gone through after her parents died. Micky sighed and was about to put his things away when he spotted something.

It was a small poster. On it was an eleven year old him, wearing a circus outfit and sitting on top off an elephant.

It was when he was in Circus Boy. Micky smiled as he thought back on that time. The show only ran for two seasons, but he had had fun on the set.

Suddenly, something made him sit up straight in his chair. He looked from the Circus Boy poster to the photo of Ashley!

He suddenly had a flashback!

There was a girl hiding behind some barrels. Micky was watching her for a bit. He wondered why she was hiding! He was eating a bag of mixed sweets, when what he should have been doing was eat his lunch! But, he hadn't felt like eating boring sandwiches. He passed them onto the chimp. Micky decided to go over to the girl. He remembered that there was a school coming over today to play as extras in the circus tent. Maybe this girl was one of them? Micky decided to go and talk to her. It was a good excuse to show off what he did! He walked over, reached out and tapped her on the shoulder, she turned and Micky saw her face....
