My name is Kayla Johnson it's been hard my last year of school but I did It. It's finally the last week of school
I'm 17 years old and I attend Atlantic Coast High School with my two BESTFRIENDS, Kierra And Olivia. Our senior year went by so fast and I'm so happy to be about to leave this hell hole for good.
"Kayylaa! " Kierra called out running down the hallway. Kierra was on of my bestest friends I only have two because growing up in Jacksonville, Florida there aint a lot of loyal people
" Geessh Kie do you really have to be so loud? " I whined
" Shut Up cry baby I just wanted to let you know I got in! " Kierra and I had put in a application to go to Auburn University that's been our dream college since our freshman days.
"Omg Kieee I'm So Happy For You, Now I'm ready To go home to see if mines came in."
"Well We Have to get fitted for our caps and gowns then we can leave."
Moments latter we went into the packed auditorium full of seniors and tailors. Kierra Went first then me. Soon as we were done we caught Olivia leaving out
"Livvvvv! " Kie shouted so Olivia would wait for us. We filled her in on the good news and agreed to meet at my house
"Kayla sweetie, is that you? " my mom called form the kitchen
"Yes and I have company " my mom name is Danielle she spoils me to death and let's me do as I please because it's only us too and she is not my real mom. I was adopted when I was younger cause of my crack head real mama. I hated her for all she put me through but I couldn't help how much I loved and missed her
The three of us went straight for the mail on the dining room table
"Y'all I got it, I'm scared to open it" I said. Kie snatched it out my hand and went to ripping it open. Soon as she got it open her face lit up and mines did too
" Bitch You got in! " she semi screamed. She didn't want my mom to hear her curse. I got up and did a happy dance and ran straight to the kitchen
"Moooommm! Look I got in! I got in! I said jumping up and down. Kie and Liv joined us in the kitchen through all the excitement.
"Congratulations Baby. I'm so proud of you. My girls growing up" my mom said wiping a few tears of joy
"How About I Take You girls out to eat my treat? " we all agreed and were on our way to My favorite place, steak n shake
From this point on I knew My summer was about to be the best, I got accepted into the college I wanted and so did my best friend. My birthday is coming and I can only imagine the turn up.
