 Luke's POV

My eyelids slowly opened to the annoying beeping tone of my alarm clock, letting me know that it was another early morning for school. I slowly pushed myself up into a sitting position in my bed and began to stretch my arms out, letting out a faint groan in the process. After clearing the daze that was going on in my head from waking up so early it hit me. It was day number two at my new school. Just the thought of being in the unfamiliar environment made my skin crawl so I made my way out of the bed and into the bathroom, hoping a shower would make my nerves die down.

It helped a little, but not much. After drying myself off with my towel I slipped into a pair of boxers, skinny jeans, and a black shirt. I then made my way over to the small table by my bed and grabbed my lip ring to put on. Yes, I take my piercing out at night. I just can't bear the though of wearing it while I'm sleeping and having it get caught on a thread and tear my lips or fall out or any other negative situation.

After I finished styling my hair into it's usual up do I made my way out of my room and towards the kitchen. My mum greeted me with a warm smile as she chirped, "Good morning sweetheart!" I gave her the best smile I could muster in the early hour and mumbled a "morning" in return before I opened up the fridge to look for something to calm my rumbling stomach. After glancing around a little I made a quick decision to just grab a banana before I shut the fridge.

"So I heard you might tutor someone?" said mum as she sipped her mug of coffee. I lifted my shoulder up into a shrug before I replied, "Yeah, the math teacher said that there was someone doing bad in the class and he saw how I did at my past school and asked if I could help." "Aren't you glad your mother is a math teacher?" she said cheekily, lifting up one hand to give my cheek a light pinch. I playfully rolled my eyes at her before she continued to speak, "Know that if you even get confused on something you can always come to me." I couldn't help but let out a soft laugh at her words before shaking my head. After finishing off my banana and getting my things together I left a quick kiss on to my mum's cheek before leaving for school.

Ashton's POV

"I'm doing fine!" I pleaded as Mr. Peterson continued to shake his head stubbornly. "Ashton, you need this tutor. You know for a fact that if you fail this class you can't graduate, and he's a nice boy. I'm sure everything will work out and your math skills will improve. I'll introduce you to each other once class is over" he said. By this time I was fuming and fighting the urge to flip over his god damn desk. I can fix things on my own! I don't want to be seen as one of those people who's struggling so badly he needs a tutor, it's fucking embarrassing!

I exhaled a frustrated sigh before stalking off towards my seat and plopping myself down. Michael, who had been looking intently at his phone, shifted his gaze over to me once I sat down, a smirk curving on to his lips before he reached over and gave my shoulder a pat. "You tried, loser." he laughed as I shook my head a little in return.

Luke's POV

I made my way into my math class with my bag slung over my shoulder. I came just in time to see the boy with the bracelets head towards his desk, his cheeks flushed an angry shade of red and his lips pressed together in a tight line. I wonder what's got him so upset.. Shit, I'm staring again aren't I? I shifted my gaze down on to the floor as I shuffled over to my desk.

I then accidentally tripped over the leg of the chair in front of my desk and sucked in a breath as I nearly tumbled to the ground. Luckily, I regained my balance and let out a sigh of relief. I flicked my gaze up and my eyes met a pair of hazel ones staring intently at me, concern swimming in his gaze as he spoke, "You okay?" "I.. uh, yeah." I gave a quick nod before I sat myself down in my chair and faced forward, not daring to look back. Why am I so fucking awkward? Jesus, I'm idiot of the year. I exhaled a sigh before taking out my notebook and starting to jot down notes.

After a little over 45 minutes have passed the bell rang, signalling us all to get to our second period. I stood up along with everyone else and began to stuff my pencils and notebook back into my backpack. My head whipped to the front of the classroom when I heard Mr. Peterson speak.

"Luke, Ashton. Come here, please."
