I felt myself turn red "Oh no, I didn't mean, you're in charge? What I meant was, you don't look, no, that's not, I meant, I mean-"

Leo cut me of chuckling as he said "It's alright man, you're not the first one, I am pretty thin next to my other sibling's, I guess you thought that cabin 9 would have a big muscle bound scary dude as the leader right?"

I felt myself turn even redder and look down suddenly finding the ground very interesting the fact what Leo had said was correct made me feel pretty guilty.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, just skin and bones here" Leo teased.

I found myself smiling despite myself however now that I gave him a proper look over, I realised that wasn't exactly true.

Sure he wasn't as bulky or big as our siblings but he seemed harder and rougher looking, we're as most of our siblings looked like they were trying out to be wrestlers or body builders, Leo however looked more like those sprinter's or the lean looking gymnast that I used to see when I watched the Olympics.

He looked more athletic.

Then I remembered something.

"You said you were special, don't our siblings control fire?" I asked

I saw Leo frown as he said "No, I'm the only one"

I felt sympathy for him, I knew what it was like to be the outsider but I hoped for my sake I can pretend I'm normal so I don't end up like Leo an outsider, lonely, I saw his pain from being different in those few seconds and I didn't want it.

I'd always been an outsider at my normal human school and I never wanted to feel like that again, ever.
