Oct . 20 Tuesday:Mallory was walking down a dark hallway. She was slowly walking, her arms crossed as she took in her surrounding and jumping at every little sound. Mallory came to a dead end, she turned around to see if she can find a way out but came face to face with full length body mirror.
Mallory looked at her reflection. 'I look awful' she thought.
Mallory took in her appearance in the mirror. She just couldn't look away, no matter how hard she tried. Mallory was too focused on her face, her features.
She had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair. Eyes from her mother and hair from her father, the only thing she got from them.
She may have hated her parents but was grateful for her features. It made her feel happy and special, when she looked in the mirror she felt pretty.Mallory was too caught in her thoughts to notice the figure standing behind her. Quickly she turned around but the figure was gone, Mallory was terrified. She turned back to the mirror, it had a crack in it and there was light coming through it. Mallory was curious so she reached out to touch the crack. It stung.
"Ouch!" Mallory shouted shaking her hand.
The mirror started to shake. The glass was breaking off, being thrown to the ground. Mallory jumped and took a step back, not wanting to cut herself. The light through the crack was getting bigger and brighter. Just then the hallway began to shake. Mallory frantically looked around hoping to find something to hold on to. The glass on the mirror was completely gone, now just a bright light with the sound of laughter and classical music coming from it. Mallory shut her eyes then jumped though the light.
Opening her eyes Mallory was relived.
She standing in a ballroom. There were many couples standing around or dancing with each other. No one seemed to notice her, she was fine with that. Mallory looked down at herself, she was wearing a white dress. It looked like a plain tube top connected to a puffy skirt. 'This is nice' she thought."May I have this dance?" A man asked bowing down to Mallory. When he looked up Mallory looked into his eyes. They were green. "Umm..of course." Mallory was a bit taken back, she thought no one saw her. The man took Mallory to the middle of the dance floor. There they danced to a beautiful piece played by men with violins, violas, cellos and bass.
Mallory danced with the man to what seemed like hours, her head in the crook of the man's neck while his hands of n her waist. Together the danced in circle, swaying back and forward. "This is wonderful. Thank you for asking me to dance kind stranger but I don't know your name. What is it?" Mallory asked but got no response. Mallory looked up to see if he heard. She looked him and smiled "Did you hear me?" she warmly asked. The man stood there, he stopped dancing, just looking into Mallory's eyes.
Mallory was scared and concerned. She looked around and saw everyone stopped dancing as well as the music. It was silent and everyone just stood still staring at one and another. "What's going on?" Mallory shouted out.
"Look." Quickly Mallory turned back to the man. She again looked into his eyes like in some kind of trance. Mallory saw flashes of white then it happened she she was standing in a all white room. She couldn't move her feet but had control of her arms. Looking down at herself Mallory saw blood on her hands. Ahhh! The sound of someone screaming. Mallory looked back up and saw the mirror from before but now fixed with no crack. Mallory was wearing a hospital gown that was covered in a black stain.
