Lost In Stereo

The week after my 3 day weekend of work, I had just relaxed in bed. I barely answered anyone and I didn't go out unless I needed to get groceries. I was supposed to go to Six Flags on Friday with the guys but I was still really sore from working 3 days straight. I would probably be fine by the time Friday rolls around but it was Tuesday and I wasn't about to do anything or go anywhere. To top off being sore, I had my lovely monthly friend so I was just a raging bitch ready to rip someone's head off at a moments notice.

I had gotten several more calls from my ex boyfriend, Chris. He didn't understand that after all the stuff he put me through AND me moving three thousand miles away meant that I was done with him. I was done with all that I was put through back home; the drugs, the fighting, the cheating, the lying.

I was laying in bed with an extremely hot water bottle on my stomach just watching movies when my phone started buzzing furiously.

From Chris

Just talk to me, please...

I sighed and tossed my phone to the side. I wanted so badly to block his number; never talk to him again after what he did but something stopped me from doing so every time.

chorus to Tear In My Heart plays

"Hello?" I said as I cringed from cramps.

"Hey, Miranda! I was just calling to see if you wanted to hang out today." The smiley voice said.

"Sorry, Vic, not today." I said uncormfortably.

"Why, what's wrong?" He said with concern.

"Uhh, I'm just not feeling too great today. That's all."

"Oh, well do you need anything?" He was definitely the most thoughtful of the group.

"No, thank you. I'll see you Friday, okay Vic?"

"Yeah, no problem! Feel better! Call me if you need anything."

"Of course, thanks Vic." I said and hung up. I felt bad for not talking to them for a few days but I just didn't feel like hanging out with anyone.

I stayed at home until Friday rolled around and my little friend was gone.

I woke up early to prepare myself for a long day of walking around, sunburn and excitement.

It was almost like I was going to Warped Tour again. All of my memories of Warped Tours of the past came back to me as I did my makeup. I remembered my 'worst' year; It was my most anticipated.

I was gonna be seeing Asking Alexandria and Pierce the Veil live for the first time along with a few favorites from last year and some stops at random band's set while waiting for our priority bands to play. Little did I know, I was gonna be in for a rough day. It was hotter than past years and me being very prone to heat stroke, I got sick during PTV's set and I was crushed. One of the very nice security guards was nice enough to get be out of sight just before I threw up behind one of the bigger cases that held some kind of equipment. I think I amused the paramedics and the Attila crew because even after just up-chucking, I was still singing my heart out as I walked to the med tent. I remember how terrified my friends was thinking I was gonna have to go to the hospital and miss the last 3 sets. The med people were very nice and I ended up drenched in four cups of ice cold water before I could get back out there. I was pretty battered from being crushed by a wave of crowd surfers that all fell on top of me one right after another but I turned out fine; no serious injuries. I felt pretty embarrassed but other than that, I enjoyed the rest of the night.

I finished getting ready and locked up before heading over to Vic's house.

I walked in casually before just sitting at his kitchen table while finishing my coffee. Sooner or later he came down in just his boxers and nearly had a heart attack.
