Nightmares and Turbulence

"Attention all passengers. The next flight to Bristol, England leaves in 5 minutes." I shut the lid to one of the over-head compartments and sink down into the comfortable, first-class seat next to my brother, Collin. I try not to think about the horrid things I am going to have to deal with once I get to my great Aunts house. As the plane starts to back up from the terminal I drift into deep, wonderful sleep.

I'm running, my brother at my heals and my parents not far behind. I don't know who or what we are running from but I know we aren't running for a good reason. We are running through a dark ally, lined with graffiti and trash bins from the shops and restaurants beside. I almost fall but I catch myself and keep moving. Just as I rounded the corner out of the ally I hear Collin yell my name and look back, horrified at what I see. My mom and dad were now laying a couple feet away. Cold, lifeless ... I go to them but it's too late. So as tears start to form in my eyes I look up to see the running silhouette of who is chasing us and knew we had to go. So I grab Collins arm and sprint all the way back to the house.

With a jolt of the plane, I woke up. "Attention all passengers. We are experiencing some minor turbulence and would ask you to return to your seats. We will be arriving in Bristol in 15 minutes." I took a couple deep breaths.

"More nightmares?' Collin asks. I nod my head.

"Yeah." That was the sixth time this month I have had that nightmare, if only it weren't true ... We land and we both go and grab our bags from the bag return. As I grab the maroon colored suitcase, we find our taxi driver and head off to the outskirts of Watchet, a small town that I doubt more than half of this country knows exists. I look out the window and watch the sun rise into a perfect partly-cloudy day. About an hour later we finally arrive in Watchet. I watch as we speed past small shops that soon turn into small neighborhoods.

"This is it kiddo's." says the taxi driver. I look over in awe at the giant, castle-like mansion with its courtyard full of colorful flowers and in front of it a vine-covered stone fence that looks like it's been there for ages and in the middle a newly painted gate with the letter "F" in the middle.

"Thank you." I say as I give him a tip and open the door. We grab our bags and the taxi drives away. Collin and I go up to the gate.

"Wow." I say

"Took the word right out of my mouth." He replies, looking at the massive structure before us.

"Here." I say as I spot an intercom and press the button.

"Hello?" a women's voice sounds over the speaker.

"Hi um, I'm Adelaide Farley and this is my brother Collin. We are here to see our Aunt Scarlett."

"Oh, come on in." she said as the gate opened with a terrible screech in its hinges. I look at my brother and give him a small smile witch he returns.

"We made it." I say

"We made it." He repeats.
